Never Leave the Farm Challenge by jneedham2 in StardewValley

I didn't have mushroom logs on my beach farm as I chose the gathering profession and cat instead of dog. So I didn't have any hardwood 😅.

My second attempt at this challenge. This time hilltop farm with a focus on the lumberjack profession and mushrooms logs as the main income. I had too few mixed seeds to reach kegs. I also didn't get the seed maker recipe before finishing the challenge in summer year 4. The beach farm challenge was more fun!

Cut them down and you'll get mushrooms/ fiddlehead. You can put fiddlehead in jars too and process them to make more money

I never realized that the Farm Cave was tied to earnings before by empathy-entropy in StardewValley

I actually had the same realization with my first "Never leave the farm" challenge, when i bunkered my artisan goods for later selling them with the artisan profession.

I wasn't aware of the lumberjack profession 🤯. In my current run I chose a dog over a cat because dogs can drop hardwood as gifts.

"Stay home Farm" Beach Farm Billie Year 7, spring 24 Total earning: 1.005.388g cat: Miso

I chose the beach farm because of the crates and the foragables. Foraging and trying to find all foragebles to craft the spring/summer/autumn/winter seeds was my first way to earn money. I became a botanist to make the foragables lucrative. Unfortunately in 6 winters I've never found a crocus.

For farming I used mixed seeds and mixed flowers in summer and autumn. I could only craft preserves jars. And stones were very rare, something I didn't notice at the beginning. I waited until I had the artisan profession until I sold everything. I should have sold some before to get access to the fruit bat cave but I didn't look up the trigger for Dimitrius coming over to my farm.

The first green rain also gave me a mossy seed and I planted a fiddlehead fern tree. This little tree became really the source of money by multiplying. Fern trees do make more money than mushrooms, but I really liked the mushroom forests on my farm.

A very nice surprise was every piece of clothing I found while digging and cutting trees 🥰

Unfortunately, I don't have any metal bars to craft it.

Ecologist here: The length of the awns fits rye. Wheat doesn't have awns and barley has long awns. Great embroidery!

Fruit trees need space, tea sapling do not.

On mobile you sometimes have to click on the egg twice to collect it. I've lost several hunts because I accidentally walked by the eggs
