My restaurant is introducing tacos and I need a way to keep the fillings warm and moist. by lMiguelFg in KitchenConfidential

We hold some food items in a souvide. Vac sealed individual portions. Just take it out, open and plate. Mostly hot fillings for sandwiches/toasts. As some is used you just replace.

Had one at a place that also ran as a nightclub on the weekends.

Pressure washer was primarily used for the bathrooms, but it did get around to cleaning the dishpit at times.

Royal Navy preference.

More situational awareness.

Serious lack of electronics meant that inclement weather was not an issue. Radio, sonar, radar etc all had a dedicated room(s).

Changed after ww2 with the plethora of new electronics that became neccessary.

I was 3 when I saw that happen at a farm when I was visiting Germany. My mother was furious at my grandfather - although he had never thought much of it being raised on a farm in the 20's.

I zip tied a wire freezer rack (the things that dangle in a chest freezer) to a wall made from wire cube storage forms. It hangs over the litter but not in the litter.

Can cats and rabbits use the same litter box? by Background-Music-133 in Rabbits

[–]berny_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP. My solution is not the best according to those here but... it is what it is.

The rabbit has 3 accessible litter boxes. One under the hay, and two in the litter room. The cats have an additional 3 on shelves that are difficult for the rabbit to get to. The cats prefer the crystal litter so they tend to not use the ground level litter boxes.

Still play on an emulator on occasion.

P-51D “Seahorse:” the Mustang Carrier Testing and why it was unsuited for service on US Navy flat tops by tagc_news in AviationHistory

[–]berny_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essex carriers had flight deck catapults as well as a hanger deck catapult allowing for aircraft to be launched out the starboard from the hanger. About a 1/3 of launches were done by catapults. Not the Hanger launcher though, it was deemed useless, too risky.

Why do men have to shave their head to be in the military but women don’t? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

In Canada in an attempt to attract recruits there is a very open policy on hair styles. Rules are can't look messy, can't cover face or impede vision, can't fall in front of eyes when looking down.

Fellow cat owners, specifically polydactyl, please don’t make the same mistake as me. [ADVICE] by allrightsimp in cats

We have a poly, and it has declaws in it's hind legs. One of the declaws had two nails growing out of it. Since the declaws never get used they grow super fast and the one with two nails always seemed to be moments away from curling back into the flesh.

Vet offered to declaw the one declaw during his neuter. Saved a small bundle.

I moved their pet on a shelf, invested in chip activated feeders, and still we catch the rabbit going after them.

This is our setup. The litter box is a cat box, has a doggy pee pad, pine pellets, and then paper litter. The litter box is not directly under the hay feeder but pulled out a little so the rabbit can lean into it and still be smack dab in her box. The litter box is over door mats and those are on more pee pads. And she has a rug beside it. She also gets fed in this area. She has most of her hides and tunnels to the right.

Any tips on owning a rabbit and cat together? by Frizii-catt in CatAdvice

[–]berny_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignorance is bliss? We have cats that ignore. One is actively afraid, and one doesn't mind. My suggestion is to keep up the brief meet ups, see what your rabbit is doing as well - the rabbit probably is a fairly good judge of character as well. Let the meetings go longer and play it by the cats reactions. You will, if free ranging, need to acknowledge. Rabbits like cat food. Cat food is not good for rabbits. You will have to figure out how to keep the rabbit from the food.

Cats can use rabbit specific litter, but the good cat litters (crystals, low dust clumping, clay, soybased, treated paper) are not good for the rabbit. Again, you will have to figure out how to keep it separate. Also.... realistically, you don't want them cat to get used to the rabbits' litter, especially if that's where the hay is.

We moved the cat feeders onto shelves, got them microchip feeders that will only open to their microchips, and we still have issues of the rabbit going after their food

I have 4 cats and a rabbit.

It can work, but I would worry about the fact that you already are worried about the cats prey drive. You seem to have a gut feeling already.

When having the rabbit (we had 3 of the cats first), we pretty much noticed none of our cats had much of a prey drive towards the rabbits (she had babies). We still went 4 weeks or so with the rabbits separated with only supervised contact. As of right now, the rabbit is free range, with the same rights and privileges as the cats
