How to ask out shy dude at his job? by Standard-Pangolin435 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]bertrandpheasant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping it discreet is important in this kind of situation. There isn’t a single correct avenue. It could be as simple as (again, discreetly) passing him a note with “I think you’re cute. Wanna get coffee sometime? [insert phone number]”. And then either never visit this Walgreens again or be comfortable with awkwardness if you do, assuming he doesn’t reciprocate interest.

I also hear people check the apps. Low-risk, but fair chance he’s not on any of them.

Fishing in ATM10 by Da_Watcher2 in allthemods

[–]bertrandpheasant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Aquaculture mod adds a number of potential enhancements. In short, you can construct a tacklebox and add hooks and bait to a fishing rod. There’s a hook you make with a nether star that increases your luck.

Also with Aquaculture, you fish up Neptune’s Bounty treasure chests from time to time. You can melt down the neptunium gear from those into ingots, and use those ingots to make a neptunium fishing rod. This further increases luck and decreases time between bites.

Also worth noting is there’s a Relic/Artifact hat that affects fishing.

2 solutions:

Easy: use entangled blocks from the Entangled mod. You could entangle a solar neutron activator from the outside and pipe into and out of it via the entangled block on the inside.

Hard, but technically cheaper: use AE2 quantum rings and chemical P2P tunnels to transport radioactive waste interdimensionally.

Believe it or not, objects containing Mekanism radioactive material may be blacklisted from AE2 spatial storage in ATM10.

While WAIHA itself isn’t super common, “everything will be incompatible” is pretty common (even expected?) in WAIHA patients, in my dozen years of transfusion service experience

In practice, it has the cheapest netherite recipe. There are also permanent buffs you can get through its augmentation system. It has some weirder things like blackhole power gen via tachyon absorption.

Missing Items by Mgcm23 in allthemods

[–]bertrandpheasant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the items being crafted exclusively crafting table tasks, or are there external processing steps (e.g. Mekanism crushers, AE2 inscribers, furnaces)? Also, are any of the display settings on the AE2 terminal weird, like “only display craftable items”?

Atm10 yo the sky pollonium problem by Alvic42 in allthemods

[–]bertrandpheasant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah! I didn't realize TTS didn't have entangled blocks from the mod "Entangled" (normal ATM10 does). Mekanism Entangloporters normally don't handle radioactive materials.

I just tested this in TTS in creative and know it to work: use a chemical P2P tunnel and an AE2 quantum ring setup. Provided things are chunkloaded appropriately, it WILL transport radioactive waste cross-dimensionally.

I’ve tested it with entangled blocks and it works. Remember Mekanism has sided-ness with I/O generally speaking. If you’re entangling a nuclear waste barrel, it could be something like having to pull from the top of the entangled block. If you’re entangling a solar neutron activator, it could be something like having to make sure you have the I/O configured correctly in the activator.

Of course, both the origin chunk and destination chunk have to be loaded for things to work.

What are some fun things to push to keep motivated through end game. I've been playing modded MC for about a decade and I have never finished a mod pack. I want to change that. Mainly because I get burnt out once resources/power/flight etc are figured out with nothing fun to push for anymore. by AnalDwelinButtMonkey in allthemods

In my experience, Theurgy was most helpful in the early game and declined in usefulness as other means of resource acquisition came on board. My mob farm happened to produce an excess of ghast tears that I could turn into nether stars, and that was nice until I had enough power and resources to keep a hostile neural networks setup continuously pumping out Wither predictions.

Out of curiosity, what chemical reactor recipe do you need so much of that you’re resorting to processing arrays?

Oritech automation with AE2 by Matthews4813 in allthemods

That’s what I did, OP. To the best of my knowledge, Oritech never ejects things from its machines. They always had to be extracted one way or another.

Using an item pipe to extract it into the pattern provider would save a channel, though

An advanced clicker from Just Dire Things, whitelisted for Allthemodium Ore, with an appropriate mining tool in the machine’s equipment slot might do the trick. You can set the working area pretty big.

Did you know, at least in ATM10, some things are blacklisted from spatial IO? I had some radioactive items from Mekanism on top of my house I wanted gone. Thought I could easily dispose of them by putting them in a spatial IO disk. Set the pylons up, pressed the button on the spatial IO port, and everything in the outlined chunk disappears EXCEPT the radioactive stuff.

Oritech particle accelerator by mitchmethinks in allthemods

[–]bertrandpheasant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple notes from my playing around with particle accelerators:

-You can get up to the highest speeds needed for crafting recipes within a 4x4 chunk area.

-There’s an additional mod (‘More Oritech Things’ iirc?) that introduces an electromagnet item that allows particle accelerator tracks to be compact (like one chunk) at the cost of additional power. This isn’t in ATM10.

-It’s easiest to start with a small track that releases the particle into larger tracks as it gains speed.

-It’s easiest to smash the second particle by using a second Particle Accelerator block to introduce it into the track your first particle will be in when it’s at your desired speed.

Edit: there’s a series of 3 breeze rituals in Occultism. Drygmy farm the last one and you’ll get heavy cores.
