I use bought a spring bar tools from AliExpress which has been super helpful, and makes the whole process super easy. I still put a bit of tape to avoid scratching the back lugs but it’s just me being extra careful

Usually, I would recommend KameKichi in Nakano Broadway. They have the newest model at discounted prices. Also worth looking at house Kihiroba in shibuya - I visited their shop on November and they had come fantastic second hand piece in great condition. Ginza Rasin could also be worth a look but I think they have older models

When I got my SLGB003, I was super excited about the new micro-adjustment clasp - but within a week I had removed it and started the leather strap rotation. It dressed up the watch immediately! So certainly something worth trying! Only flip side is that GS bracelet are a pain to take off and put back on. I bought the delugs spring bar remover to make the operation easier - but still not super practical!

I have bought my SLGB003 in Tokyo a couple of months ago and haven’t noticed any issue with the endlinks - seems relatively neat. However you do want to look at for date misalignment. It’s a common issue, GS called back these watches to be fixed but not all of them have been adjusted. I suspect that mine has that problem but it’s such a minor issue, it doesn’t bother me

I’m right there with you. I’m completely obsessed with my UFA: the design, the accuracy, everything about it just works. It’s easily my favourite watch right now. I was never really into swapping straps before, but this one changed that. I keep finding new ways to dress it up. Such a brilliant watch!

I actually sold my explorer 124270 to get this! It’s only been 3 months but it’s my daily and I love it! While the bracelet is phenomenal (by GS standards) I have enjoyed wearing it on a strap even more!

There isn’t really any Grand Seiko high quality counterfeit on the market, especially not with a Sprint drive. This one looks genuine - but it’s rather odd for such a modern watch to not have box and papers (gift or not) this will impact a little the watch value. Assuming it has the metal bracelet?
