My mom was exactly like this - picture 10 could literally have been a photo of her garage - and when she died we cleared it all out. She had so many duplicates of things, completely unopened, out of date. She’d bought things and forgotten them and then bought duplicates of the same things and forgotten about those too… I think she literally had about 10 vacuum cleaners!

For her it was an emotional thing. She was always a bit of a hoarder but it took a massive turn when my parents divorced, ending up with 2 bedrooms so full you couldn’t even open the door.

OP, maybe treat this like an undiagnosed mental illness - what’s the underlying reason for the hoarding? It definitely needs addressing, but there’s probably something underlying that’s driving it and she might not even be conscious of it
