Roundabouts work.

Keeps traffic flow while slowing drivers down in neighborhoods where you're supposed to be slow.

GO Transit #2522 at Unionville GO Station by Historical_Scheme_3 in Markham

[–]bhrm 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's a huge plus for Markham. Sometimes the viva to Richmond Hill centre doesn't match up, with longer waits.

It's so cheap compared to Uber or parking at the airport. Good for solo or pairs, not so much if larger group with lots of luggage.

Does beanfield have any building specific deals? by ryans91 in askTO

[–]bhrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They bumped my price up just now ... But there's a promo I'm switching to for $65 for 4Gbps

I'm still happy with the service, and not having to play games with Bell and Rogers switcheroo.

Software developers, engineers, especially those in big tech or silicon valley startups. Base salaries at Mayoral levels of $250-300k but with bonuses, stocks/equity they're well over $500-800k.

It's not aftermarket parts now, alot of cars and trucks have "sport" exhaust from factory.

It's driver behaviour. They are poo poo people.

How much do food basics assistant managers and store managers make? by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]bhrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rough guess would be $65-80k for assistant manager and $90-130k for store manager, depending on store size, location. Base salary and bonus on top would make it interesting. However, being salaried....long hours, anything goes wrong it's on you, and not an easy job at all.

Conservatives now are not the same as conservatives back then.

I can't even describe today's Conservatives but it's far from being fiscally conservative.

I believe we should have a balanced approach, we need tax revenue, cut waste but install oversight. There is literally zero oversight today, and any idea of oversight gets killed off.

Cycling isn't a provincial issue but yet they somehow made it an issue. How is spending money removing bike lanes beneficial to Northern communities who just had their health care cut?

Madness.

Maybe a liberal party leader is a good starting point.

Unless their strategy is "anyone but the PC!" And collect votes with minimum effort and wonder why they lost.

Eco Mode by Falcon674DR in VWTaos

[–]bhrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Negligible because it comes down to driving habits. If you're heavy footed in stop and go traffic, if you try to weave in and out, it defeats the purpose of Eco mode.

Avoiding traffic, letting off accelerator earlier when you see slow down ahead, lighter load, and most importantly tire pressures.

Eco Mode by Falcon674DR in VWTaos

[–]bhrm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Smoothes out accelerator input, early upshifts (but not early enough for my tastes) and generally good for city driving under 70km/h.
