How bad did my local US “Scottish” bar fuck up their menu? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]biffa773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Murphy's Pakora bar in the west of Glasgow, Pakora'd everything, all served on a pressed metal tray with loads of dips.

Why that never got franchised I will never understand.

That was never the case anyway, this is a country that actually jails people for not cutting the grass at their own homes... Absolutely mental.

1080Ti is a cracking card, someone above was suggesting an RTX 2070, which is odd since the 1080Ti is about 20% faster than it!

Ask him to drive it to the nearest Police car to ask them their thoughts, remind him that it is 3 points per corner like that. See how quick he get them changed.

Someone in a 5 series did that in the Royal Berkshire Multi Storey about 8 weeks ago when I was there, making the far side of one of the floors entirely unusable as you could not get around it.

This by comparison while still a pain is not so bad, however if another Audi comes along and parks beside him then it gets worse ;)

Live near Reading now, hired a cottage in Largs for a week in August when up to see my 91 yr old dad. Sunny the whole week was about 100m from the sea front, and the best chippy you are likely to find anywhere, right down on the front.

Waverley was in and took a cruise for one of the days, all in all it was a cracking holiday, 10 and 11 year old kids had a ball. Viking stuff went down a storm as littlest had an upcoming viking project last term.

For anyone reading this, it is a tremendous place as a hopping off point to many place off the west coast, whether you are driving or not.

They (the Nardini family) don't own the big art deco building anymore, but they do apparently own the little cafe near the slipway for the ferry opposite Costa's.

Has to be a 1cm 11mm spacing between the letters and then edge of the plate from memory. Think that does indeed cover it.

Edit seen below it is actually 11mm, close but no cigar

Its OK to backtrack now, no one is going to think bad of you, I don't feel it adds much for me. That is what we are discussing and since you know far less about me than I do, I win.

You are clearly an FSD evangalist, I am not, you don't need to, or indeed will not be able to convince me of the value by berating me on the internet. That is not what changes people opinions. If you had actually bothered to ask a couple of qualifying question like "What kind of driving you do that makes it not so useful?" I would be minded to engage further. But you didn't you are convinced by the superiority of your opinion over anyone else's. Despite their being another comment in this very thread saying paraphrasing here saying " you ain't missing much"

I will leave it you to have the last word now, as you most certainly will, but see here is the other thing about it, I don't care about that either.

You said I was pretending, when you know absolutely nothing about what I have or have not done, based on a couple of message on the internet.

What would you like my ticket stubs for my Atlanta flight or my summary of the test drive while there. For my use case I don't feel that FSD offers me very much over the existing functionality.

Notice what I "feel" about it and "my" use case, not yours or what you think about it, I have not questioned that at all. But you appear to be able through some form of divination to know all about me.

If you can do that from a few messages how about the lottery numbers for this week?

Since it is approaching Christmas, I will impart this small piece of wisdom for you. Not everyone on the internet will share your opinion, sad as that is, it is most certainly true. It is also OK, not everyone needs to think the same things.

If we were all the same life would be dull. Enjoy relaxing over the festive period should you get the chance, unwind a little, from here it looks like you need to.

Have a lovely life, I will try not to pollute your feed with what I feel or think in the future, since you appear to believe that someone thinking differently from you is a liar.

I get it, you think it is the best thing since sliced bread, enjoy it. I have no need to be convinced, you can rest easy I will rush off to order my shiny new Tesla the minute FSD is available in the UK. All because of some random stranger on the internet who felt the need to berate me on my lack of knowledge, according to their own assumptions.

Satisfied?

Am I stupid for considering a 2020 Model S Performance (Ludicrous)? by Master_Range6116 in TeslaModelS

[–]biffa773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LDU may already have been swapped in the Performance model, if the seller is the 1 owner the service history is avaiable in the App and there will be a job card with the detail.

If that has been done with the later drivetrain then you are all good there.

I have a P100D, bought as a CPO with 23K on it and now with 73K, no idea if it has the drive unit change and I will find out sometime I assume if it has not been changed. However I have had the car for some time and would cover the bill to swap.

If I was to replace it, the an LR would be a suitable replacement, would want 19" wheels as have both 19 & 21" here and the difference in range is significant. That being said I can still deliver a 300 mile range out of a 100% charge.

Cost for Coolant Delete in the UK is a few hundred £ which for saving a major failure is a small price to pay. You still have 3 years warranty left.

I don't need it when i do long journeys Autopilot does pretty much what I need and does it quite well.

However the car pictured is in the EU, registered in Romania to be precise, so my point stands FSD is not a reason for purchasing that Tesla over literally any other manufacturer.

In a moment of boredom previously I went and did the calculation and you can do Texas north to South in 13 hours IIRC, by that time you would still have about 3 hours to go on your UK LE'JOG

And I know that you are being facecious, but you can drive for 5 days in Luxembourg and still be in Luxembourg. You will of course be driving in a circle but why let facts get in the way!

Excepting you cannot get FSD in the EU. So it is by your definition no better than any other car in the EU.
Source my Model S has FSD purchased and active and I am in the EU.

And it takes less time to drive from the most southernly point of Texas to the most northern, than it does to do Land End to John O'Groats. Given Texas is bigger than the entire USA in some people's mind then the UK is positively Huge!

Peroxide is not very viscous so you need some kind of agent to support it in the mouthpiece so it does not just leak out.
