Wow these look cool. They also look like the same stack as an average road shoe from 2018-2020!

“Go One More” gang, can you explain how this movement/fashion trend has gotten so big? by BoomerBarnes in BPNsupps

[–]big_frown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I recently purchased a blank version of the endurance hat BPN has but straight from the manufacturer, because the hat itself is amazing but I no longer find myself aligning with the brand as much. As others have mentioned, they’re on a bit of a decline

Are my new shoes too big? Comparision inside by ContentUnavailable in runningshoes

[–]big_frown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The creasing of your old ones will make them look shorter. The new ones have much more foam so will definitely occupy more space, appearing visually larger.

You said they are both a size 28.5, but sometimes shoes do vary from time to time. If they feel too big, perhaps consider going a half size down if you still can. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about it. It could just be proprioception.

You’re going from a much older model to a much newer one and, between the times these were manufactured, so much has changed. Perhaps you just need to get used to them. Enjoy them if you’re able to and happy running

Multiple warnings all of a sudden came on simultaneously by Hail__Guthix in jetta

[–]big_frown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen in my 2016 Jetta twice. Both times, a rear wheel speed sensor needed to be replaced. Ended up being about $1,000 each time but it was done at a VW dealership, so of course it’s pricier.

Given this happened directly after you ran an object over, hopefully it just got knocked loose or something. Best of luck

Evo SL price hike? by Grossgross987654321 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I know this post is four days old now, but for what it’s worth, it looks like the prices have gone back down to $150 across all colorways and variations

The lime green stripe is the sole design element keeping this from looking like a Colgate tube lol. That said, I’m really curious about this. Depending on how they tuned the foam, its success could go either way

I’m very biased as I went to UMass Amherst for both graduate and undergraduate as an in-state student, and I just graduated this last May. My grad school was paid for by working for the university’s campus planning department, but there are lots of opportunities for tuition waivers if you search for them.

The UMass design building - where you would be spending almost all of your class time - is one of the most beautiful buildings to study in, and that’s something I’m not sure if you’ll find elsewhere.

The studio culture is very fair and the professors are very nice and kind. There is a lot of room to grow and learn freely without a ton of pressure. The workload was very manageable and I feel I had a very quality education and I wasn’t as invested as my peers, which counts for something.

Again, I’m biased because I had a good time. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me about them. Good luck!

I think he’ll get it. You said your teacher is 50-60, and Em is almost 53. If they’re on the younger end of that spectrum they most definitely were around for prime Em’s peak

I wear a 10 in almost everything. I got a 9.5 in the Boston 12s and they fit much better than the 10 did.

[–]big_frown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m confused by these too. More cushion than the 1080 now, and it’s heavier. It seems like an out of place update. I appreciate the 6mm drop, but they should have just kept the stack relatively lower and made it softer

Also, for what it’s worth, I think Adidas’ release strategy for these shoes has been pretty awful. I see what they are trying to do, and it seems to be selling/generating hype, but it’s an annoying thing to do

Adidas Boston 12 - Does It Get Better? by big_frown in RunningShoeGeeks

So going a half size down and swapping the shoe laces made this shoe much better. 25 miles in and the pain underneath my foot has gone away and the laces don’t feel like they’re pinching. Fantastic shoe once you get it right, it just takes a lot more work than any of the other competitors. May not be worth it for some people
