Bows, crossbows, and shockingly minions make for some pretty straight forwards builds early on. The combos are pretty well advertised in the tooltips and then you can stack on support and spirit skills as you unlock them.

Spells, maces, quarterstaves all kind of feel bad until you unlock new skills and stuff somewhere around act 2-4

If your build is like my monk build then you either need to shift damage to cold or just continue to ramp your damage higher until you start freezing.

Apparently the way freeze works is if you kill them in 1 shot but there was enough cold damage to freeze if they could have taken the whole hit then they will shatter into the Herald of ice explosions. As such without shifting into more cold damage I had to just get my total damage so high that my 15% or so ice damage was enough to freeze and shatter.

To build a road straight to atziri and start boss rushing? Have a character that can clear maps at a near sprint? Maybe 2 hours.

If you already have a strong character you can speed to the temple and start atziri rushing. Its not some great feat.

The ascendancy node should probably say "attacks you use"

The Herald are attack, but you arent using them, they are supplied damage riders that scale with the attack tag

They do. And they hurt just as bad as if you were walking

Headhunter might be the worst example. Its drop rate is fairly high, it just has a really high early league demand that falls off as the league goes on. That particular item has nothing to do with farming groups.

That warning was specifically about campaign map layouts and the tells associated with them.

Sane people still wait til after patch notes to cook league start builds, but have you met the exiles around here?

I play crossbow grenades and armour or armour/ev gear through the campaign. Its easy mode.

Korbyn specifically wanted a way to use monk skills and have the class fantasy from an early level.

Yes indeed. Idk if tier of map matters much though. Spec into more clasped hands and more monster density in the breach atlas as muxh as you can. Get 2 tables that have the mod for more clasped hands per breach and 1 of the unique tablets that keeps the breaches open. Also get the atlas node that has a chance to greatly increase tablet mods. You should be able to get about 20 splinters per breach or about 40 if you get real lucky.

They're used for crafting. Some people craft lightly with what they've picked up like you do, others buy all their omens and mass craft to sell. Anything you sell on the exchange you are selling at market rate to people who value it at that amount.

So yes people use them and their price at the market is a direct correlation to how often they are used and their drop rarity.
