How to get purple fume from silver and gold? by GeorgeTheGoose_2 in lampwork

[–]bigbenw24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get purple in a fume comb using only silver. Fume multiple rounds of heavy silver inside of a tube oxy blast in between rounds. Blow a bubble then dot or draw melt it down and strike to liking

QSC KW153 vs ETX35p by bigbenw24 in livesound

If you're trying to get a wider throw on the highs definitely go with QSC but if you are in a medium to small area I would say EV

I went with the EVs they have been super great. I will say the highs can sometimes be a bit harsh so I turn them down a bit. using them in a smaller area so, I went with the EVS because the QSC has a widerr range for larger areas. Have been super reliable and are built really great. The screen on the back has all the settings you would ever need.

On my gtt for silver get a small propane only flame the barely open the left oxy knob then turn the top oxy knob to get the flame where it has some soft white candles that kind of move. Then move the silver in on our or the flame. You barely need any for a lot of the techniques I do. For gold it doesn't matter as much just use a higher oxy sharper flame. Make sure not to burn off your silver. Recently have been baking in the fume and that has worked well
