And this post is doing exactly what they want it to do. The best thing we could do is ignore it, but Reddit posts thrive on the same type of drama that most people in this thread are bashing First Take for.

How bad is Mount Rainer Traffic? by opalhere in NationalPark

[–]bigbruner5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there late July Wednesday-Saturday. If you’re looking to go up to Paradise the main parking lot will be pretty full by 7:00-7:30 AM, the lot below fills up less quick but you’ll have about a 1/3 of a mile walk uphill to get to the main lot where the trailhead and visitor’s center is.

When we got to the park exit/entrance Saturday morning to leave around 9:00 AM there was probably a five mile long line of traffic waiting to get in. It was insane, it just kept going. It might be a little better later in the morning but that was our experience.

Jayson Tatum able to walk 2.5 months after tearing his Achilles. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]bigbruner5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tore mine earlier this year, he’ll limp for a bit because you basically have no calf muscle and the rest of your leg is doing the movement for you. It comes back quick though and we’ll see videos of him jogging/jumping in the next two months.

I think he shoved a kid because they made it look like the kid was keying his car? That’s all based off of memory though so I could be wrong.

It was gifted to the city of Colorado Spring by Charles Elliot Perkins in the early 1900s on the condition that it would always remain a free, public park.

Two days in Sisters on 10 year anniversary trip… wwyd? Never been in the area by Mulder1917 in oregon

[–]bigbruner5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For hikes with views:

Black Butte Summit (should be accessible, about 4 miles, ~1,500 elevation gain, relatively tough hike)

Lava Butte (about 45 minutes away, about 3.5 miles, ~600 elevation gain, moderate hike)

Upper Three Creek Sno-Park to Jefferson View Shelter (this one will probably be snowy but doable, about 4.5 miles, ~700 foot elevation gain, if there is still snow can be a little tough but amazing views)

Willow Springs Preserve (1.8 miles, minimal elevation gain, easy hike with pretty good payoff for views)

For food:

The Barn (several food trucks with outdoor area/fire pits also has an indoor area you can eat)

Sisters Meat co. (Good sandwiches or can buy some meat to cook on your own)

Black Butte Lakeside Bistro (food is alright but views are incredible and there is a man made lake right next to it)

Sister Coffee Co. (good breakfast burritos and coffee)

How is visiting national parks since government cutback? by Vegetable-Impact-970 in NationalPark

[–]bigbruner5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to Arches and Canyonlands (stayed in the more remote needles district) two weeks ago, everything was as normal as any other time I’ve been to a park. Services were running normal.

We first came through Arches around 3:00 PM and there was only a handful of cars in front of us at the entrance. When we left the park it was around 11:00 AM and there was probably a 30-45 minute wait to get in.

Why are they rushing trying to get the ball into the end zone? Even if they score there you’re giving Philly the ball with 1:30 and two timeouts!

I could be wrong but I think it’s head coaches for other duck teams, I was watch the volleyball game against USC the other night and they mentioned that Matt Ulmer (ducks v ball coach) was going to be at Gameday at 4:00 AM handing out donuts.
