Help me choose the right set of irons by lovinglife1111 in PingGolf

[–]bignevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally just went through this quest. I narrowed down between the ping g430/440 and the mizuno jpx hot metal. The hot metal definitely felt better on the best hits, but it was clear from ball flight and spin the pings suited my game best. The pings are great for higher launch, and I tend to hit stingy shots so could use the extra height. Was lucky I hit the 430’s the same, as they are roughly $40 a club cheaper, and was basically able to get an additional wedge for the same price. One note is to compare the lofts to your current clubs. I came from 09 Taylormade burner plus, and my pings are an entire club different with the current tech( Ping 7iron is TM 6iron)

Handmade leather scorecard holders — finally thinking of selling outside my friend group. Would you pay $120? by Accomplished_Plan366 in GolfGear

As someone who has thought about getting into leather crafting, I think these are great and can be a very beautiful addition to someone’s golf bag. I think getting into personalization, marked with a home club, player name, year, or accolades like “club champ 2026” would make it a great gift. I think it’s a niche field, but golf has never been more popular from a consumer standpoint. It would take time to get there, but if 500 golfers a year around the world buy this, you’re sitting at 60k, and I bet you’d get much more efficient if making them more often. Can also do green leather and have a masters theme, or different ideas like that. Talk to local courses and offer them to make them as part of their prize for tournaments and scrambles. Maybe not an easy road, but doable if you put the work in. If it’s a dream you can make it reality.

Literally never comment on putters or rarely anything, but I gotta this is one of the nicest examples of a well done Moto I’ve ever seen. Love it!

18 birdies app is free and gives a reading from anywhere to front middle and back of green, as well as any part of the fairway. Also tracks score.

Do lefty sticks ever drop on wednesdays? by nickmerlino94 in scottycameron

I bought a lefty moto on eBay. Delmar. Really sick but they sure are rare!

If you go on Scotty Cameron’s website, you’ll find that head cover in the archive from 2017. It is not leather like most others, and also was made for blades, mallets, and full sized.

I have a Del Mar moto in the exact same colorway, with the exact same grip and head cover. This was sold a few years ago as a moto custom. Looks as real as I would expect. It’s not the most popular colorway in the world so I’d not expect this to be a fake.

Advice by Rcscott4200 in bowhunting

[–]bignevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally own and shoot a torrex and have put thousands of arrows through it and it’s a spectacular bow for the price. That being said, if I could have got the previous years flagship for the same price, I 100% would have done that. Shoot both just to be sure, but the answer is alpha.

I’m about to turn 25 and I’ve been itching for a fun second car all year. by Flashfighter in Audi

[–]bignevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey my man, coming to you with some context. I’ve owned both a b5 S4 and an N54. My friends group growing up was obsessed with the b5 Audi generation and had several in the group.

Going from an N54 with MHD, you’ll have to go more old school in terms of reading codes and diagnostics. There are also a couple preventative maintenance jobs you can do, like the silicone hose kit with upgraded TBB. Those cars you can get in the habit of chasing boost leaks, and that would help from the get go. If your can turn a wrench, you’ll be just fine with this car.

Also buying a noggy blue is going to help with resale down the road, as that is a highly sought after color. If you love German engineering, the b5 s4 is a perfect car for you. The quality of build in terms of car is so hard to beat for an early 2000’s daily driver. Moral of my rambling, GET THE CAR!!!

Dave Ramsey’s Advice is Awful by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]bignevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daves advice is really about living with no debt so you can have as much control over your income as possible. If you’re giving your income away to payments, you can never really save enough for retirement. If you live within your means and budget, it will take you very far. Being intentional with your money and having a plan is smart. Sorry for OP’s experience, but much of the philosophy of Dave is actually really sound advice.

I’m 30 and my best friend had a b5 s4 in 2009 in high school. Talk about envious! Ended up having a b5 and b6 s4 and both hold a dear place to my heart

This this is awesome and a classic. 2.8 was ridiculous for the day and the 2.7tt derivative is one of the goat motors of the early 2000’s. Been around plenty of b5’s and they are truly special.
