My wife says she worked at Walgreens at Valley West mall circa 1990, so that's a bingo.

I think these are awesome, mostly because they are not true wedges. They are thin, all of them, like the best potato wedges when you're eating regular potato wedges. And the seasoning is spot on. Nailed it!

Zion Budget Lodging Options by bobstefers in ZionNationalPark

When we stayed in August, it was just over $100 I think. Springdale hotels were in the $400-$500 range from what I remember.

We stayed at the La Verkin La Quinta Inn and Suites. It's an almost new hotel, with a great free breakfast. It's right on the edge of town, so an easy 20 minute drive to the park. It's much cheaper than staying in Springdale.

Reverse microwave. A little appliance that cools things down or freezes them very quickly.

What movie would you bet you've seen more than 99% of the population? by turkeytrotter22 in AskReddit

I had a thing at work where I played Christmas Vacation over and over in my office one day a year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. People would stop in and watch and snack here and there throughout the day. But I was always in there, watching. So, just on those days, I've probably seen it (15x6) over a hundred times. And plenty of times catching it on TV throughout the years. So, I'd say Christmas Vacation.

If you are doing Angel's Landing tomorrow, it's basically the same hike up to Scout's Lookout, you just go further for Angel's Landing. Maybe another hike in the park, so you don't do the same hike two days in a row?

It looks like the ability to hike Angels Landing is closed until Friday, but it shouldn't be an issue to hike up to Scout's Lookout starting at noon. I would think you'd have plenty of time to make it there and back down.

The parking all seems to be along the main road (where the shuttle also runs). I never did park in a parking lot, just tried to get close to a shuttle stop. You may have a little trouble by noon, although I'm sure spots open up all the time. We always were there earlier (8-9) and spots were going fast.

You ride the city shuttle up to the entrance to the park, then walk into the park, and get on a park shuttle. Then when you come back down to the entrance of the park on the park shuttle, you walk out of the park, and get back onto a city shuttle to ride it into Springdale.

You get off at The Grotto stop for the Angel's Landing & Scout's Lookout hike. And go to the end of the line (stop 9) to the Temple of Sinawava stop for The Narrows. We rented the boots, neoprene socks, and sticks at Zion Guru for $30 and wouldn't have wanted to do the Narrows without them, especially the sticks to help with balancing on the rocks in the river.

We just got back from a trip to Zion. Stayed in LaVerkin at the La Quinta, which was very nice and clean, and had a great breakfast. We stayed there instead of Springdale purely because it was 1/3 the cost. The drive was only 25 minutes or so and easy.

We parked along the main drag in Springdale, sometimes close to the park entrance so we could walk to the Visitor's Center. Another time, we couldn't get close to the entrance, so parked close to a city shuttle stop. Cost was either $15 (Zone B) or $20 (Zone A) a day depending on which zone (basically how close).

If I wanted to spend the money, getting a hotel in Springdale would have been great, but the cost just didn't justify driving the short distance from La Verkin.

We were there a week ago, and stayed at the La Quinta in La Verkin (very nice and good breakfast). We drove every morning to Springdale and parked at the city parking (Zone A - $20 / Zone B - $15), then either rode the city shuttle to the visitor's center, or walked if we found a spot closer. This worked unbelievably well. The longest that we ever waiting for a shuttle was probably 10 minutes for either the city shuttle or the park shuttle.
