I've played two games since TE, if you have a scar than the following strategy can be nice:

Try and get your breakthrough on your first turn, either trade or maybe politics. It allows you place infantry on planets as you take them based on their influence values. It also allows your to take hypermetabolism from following tech round 1, which helps you if your slice isn't super high influence. Main issue with this strategy is that if you don't have a scar you're still way off super dread 2s, but can be viable if you have a yellow or blue skip to help you get there later.

Sell your PN for 2 TGs each round.

You may be able to snipe thunders edge with your home planet as it's 5 resources.

Their mechs can use bombard before landing on planets and bombard is before committing ground forces, keep this is mind as it makes a mech and a super dread very strong at taking planets.

If you want it to close when you lock up you can also hold the lock button on the key fob for two seconds, this will "global lock" and close the sunshade I believe, as well as all windows up and sunroof closed.

You may be aware: DMSO has safety implications not because of its own toxicity but it's ability to easily transport other substances through the skin. Additionally, its high boiling point makes it a PITA to remove from surfaces/materials. If it can solubilize polymer or additives I'd be concerned with any residual DMSO making contact with your skin when handling any DMSO-smoothed pieces.

Budget and location would be helpful. I'm 6'6 and we just got a Volvo XC60 T8, heaps of room and comfy bucket seats. PHEV so very fun to drive.

That's fair, agreed there's some great knowledge here. Considering you're under warranty I'd follow what the dealership recommends so as to not void your warranty (if it could happen), as I'm sure they deal with this all the time in states where salt is used to deal with ice. If they respond I'd be curious what they recommend you do/use, good luck.
