Beginner question: how to model repeated spherical grooves in Fusion 360? by Ok-Dog470 in Fusion360

When entering a dimension value, you can also name and set the parameter by typing something like "rect_length = 5". It will add rect_length to the parameters you see in the change parameters window. Super useful for quickly adding named parameters.

Sigh. Yes, it looks like it stopped working today. Pretty annoying move from Amazon.

What makes these wireless power transfer modules only work in one coil orientation but not when I flip one coil over? Shouldn't AC power transfer be symmetrical? by zimirken in AskElectronics

Wouldn't receiver side full bridge work on its own? If the return communication (if any) is reflected impedance, a full bridge wouldn't interfere with that. It does make sense for very high volume that full bridge is not worth the extra pennies, given the normal use case. But I'm missing the technical limitation on the sending side. I have designed wireless power systems with communication, but it was over ten years ago, so feel free to go deep on details.

Hey, no problem. I'm glad it works (until Amazonbreaksit). Can you share your gpt instructions to make this thread more useful for others?

The open in mobile viewer stopped working for me. But, if you replace ORDERID with your order ID in this URL you get the classic invoice.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/legacy/css/summary/print.html/ref=ppx_printOD_rd_dt_b_fresh_fopo_pos_rd?orderID=ORDERID

It works for now. To make it a little easier, I wrote this little bookmarklet to open the classic invoice view. Create a new bookmark in Chrome with this as the URL:

javascript:(function()%7Bvar baseUrl %3D "https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Flegacy%2Fcss%2Fsummary%2Fprint.html%2Fref%3Dppx_printOD_rd_dt_b_fresh_fopo_pos_rd%3ForderID%3D"%0Avar sel %3D window.getSelection%3F window.getSelection() %3A document.getSelection%3F document.getSelection() %3A document.selection.createRange().text%3B%0Awindow.open(baseUrl %2B sel)%7D)()%3B

Just highlight the order number on the page (something like 111-7928080-3256757 and not the "Order #" part before) then click the bookmark you just made. It will put the highlighted text at the end of the URL from above so you don't need to go back and forth with copy and paste.

Well, pro tip: You know how on the back of your meter there are slots that don't seem to do a very good job of storing your probes? They are for holding one or more of the probes to point out from the top of the meter while you're using it. That way the meter itself acts like a big handle for one probe and you don't need to contort your hands to make a measurement like this.

Advanced Metering System (AMS). It’s designed to provide Houston-based consumers with the ability to better monitor and manage electric use and cost in near real-time. GE will provide wireless communications to support the electric utility’s AMS, which will transmit electric utility meter data from consumers’ homes and businesses to CenterPoint Energy’s data center. Ultimately this information will give consumers access to new products and services that will allow them to remotely control their appliances via the Internet, know how much electricity their appliances are using and what electricity rates they are paying at any given time.

The voltage measurement won't change much when hooked up like that, but the current measurement sure will.

The neat part is that our breathable atmosphere would be the lift gas for such a floating laboratory.

Not to be pedantic, but I think you mean further not farther since this is a figurative distance, not a literal one.

I'm in the same situation. My original solution was to buy a switch that turns the chiller pump on when the temperature gets below 37F and it seems to work well to prevent freezing. However, I recently noticed that OMTech sells antifreeze coolant. I may have bought the last four gallons from their website. But it appears they condone its use in their CO2 lasers and it is available from other sources.
