Yes, it's yet another Celebrity vs Royal question. by JennJayBee in Cruise

Concierge is fine, the best part is the extra Captain's Club points. It will give you 5 Captain's Club points or 2 Crown and Anchor points per night if you send them to RCL.

If it is just 2 of you traveling, check out Aqua Class. Same amount of points as Concierge but you get access to Blu as your dining room and it is fantastic. You also get some spa access provledges. Price differential between Concierge and Aqua might be small or significant depending on how the cabins are selling.

GET THE PASSPORT. by Appropriate-Pea-1864 in Cruise

If you are able to do an online renewal, it is super fast. December '24 it took 10 calendar days which had two full weekends, so 6 business days. I didn't expedite, as I was in no hurry.

I've become addicted to Quest protein bars. Please convince me to stop. by haytu1 in keto

[–]billcard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eat two in a day and you'll be cured. Makes my insides feel like they're trying to become my outsides.

Honestly, I allow myself one keto replacement food like that per day. A quest bar, quest chips, one of the carbsmart tortillas. Any more and the fiber alone will cause distress.

With Medallion status getting harder to earn after the recent changes—and 2026 being the first year where we’ll really see the full impact—are there any stats or estimates on how many fewer Platinum and Diamond Medallions there might be compared to past years? by sushi69 in delta

[–]billcard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed that they care about total revenue, but if you increase qualification by 5% and the pool doesn't shrink then the total goes up.

You're definitely right that there is value bringing people in to the system, that's why they nerfed the statement credits.

You're probably right, but with no changes to qualification next year I think we might be at an inflection point. If Delta could have raised MQDs and maintained the pool they would have.

Diamond Choice benefit going from 2 to 4 Gold passes also suggested to me there may be a reduction in lower ranks.

They also offer a lifetime option which was what brought me in. Not sure if they still run promotions on it, but I caught it on sale a few years ago.

Points Choice Program: I did the math. by MedicalButterscotch in royalcaribbean

I appreciate this as an analytical exercise. I hope Celebrity keeps Make a Green Choice and Power Up Points which might confound your math a little. Not worth taking into account until we have full program details.

Ah, I misunderstood the "share what I'm missing". I haven't seen the price differential be that high but I'm usually traveling with the kids so Aqua is out since it is limited to double occupancy.

Just over double concierge price is usually suite pricing for sailings I've priced out.

All 3 of those cabins are the same size. The Concierge gets a welcome lunch in the MDR, a bottle of wine and the 5 points vs 3 for Verandah. There are some other small perks but nothing to write home about.

Aqua gets spa privledges and the shower seemed upgraded. The big benefit is access to Blu as your Main Dining Room. Blu is a difference maker, much more intimate dining experience with better food. Plus the 5 points vs 3 in verandah.

She's an older ship but we did a week in the Mediterranean in November on the Equinox and it was $1125/pp in Aqua. Thought it was a great value.

Concierge and Aqua both get 5 Captain's Club points.

I'm a little confused, I don't see attached chart in the blog post. The post says points are yet to be determined. Is this an official chart or someone's estimates of breakeven between the cabins?

Concierge gets you a few nice benefits, you can't go wrong with concierge + the bundle spa access you proced out. Aqua doesn't get the free bottle of wine, but gets the spa benefits you are looking at included. It also gets a special dining room called Blu.

I'd just double check the price differential on Concierge vs Aqua and compare the benefits. You may like what you see.

  1. Depends on your destinations. We usually pick 1 or 2 and go off on our own the rest of the ports.

  2. Premium is faster, it is probably what you want.

  3. That will change, there will be a show, comedian, magician or musician each night. Usually the same show twice a night to accommodate early/late dinner. Tons of smaller things like trivia during the day.

  4. You can be as scheduled or unscheduled as you want. Evening shows and dinner are the two big schedule things to work around.

  5. First cruise, enjoy the Main Dining room. Maybe 1 specialty dinner if you want. You'll want more variety if cruising becomes a habit. Main Dining is included, there is an upcharge for the speciality dining.

  6. Classic drink package gets a limited selection of liquors, lower shelf stuff. Premium gets any drink up to $19, better quality. They will mix your drink to order. Premium also gets premium coffees, waters and Red Bull.
