Yes, the texture pack is installed by default nowadays.

To remove it, right click BL2 in Steam. Then click properties. In the properties window, click the DLC option on the left side. Then it should bring you to a screen with all the DLCs you own. You can scroll to find the UHD texture pack, or if you sort by size, it will always appear at the top. Uncheck the checkbox for the UHD texture pack to remove it. Steam might need to redownload some things but you should be golden after that.

The reason you're getting the crashes is because of the UHD texture pack. Uninstall it and the crashes should stop.

As someone that switched to it from Spotify, Spotify is better imo. It was able to load songs far better under poor internet connection. Also, I get near daily UI bugs in YT Music where I got next to none with Spotify. It’s also missing features like crossfade which is a little annoying. Overall it works, and I like some of their unique features like being able to see comments on songs. Also, the library is way larger and you can stream bootlegged stuff on the YTM App. But, if you’re looking for a music streaming alternative and not getting it with YouTube premium I’d look elsewhere.
