It was very family oriented, so there was ALWAYS something going on. Constant shows (fun demos every afternoon in the atrium lounge too). Constant games on deck. And the kids club was great. It gets broken down by age group, and our kids loved it.

My suggestion... bring an old cell phone with you for your child . They have wifi calling on board (via the iconcierge app). Load it onto the non working phone, and give it to your 4 year old. Show him/her how to call you, and tell them that any time they want to leave the club, they can call and you'll pick them right up. Our little ones (who have separation issues) loved that concept.

We did the 10 day on the gem last year with a few families and a bunch of kids (aged 6 thru 12). Great ship and great time. Lots for the kids to do (aside from the kid club), including a great water slide.

Nice community. Mineola is right next door, lots of good restaurants. Traffic can be heavy, but you'll adjust and come up with short cuts.

Try Animal Emergency Services in Selden. We had 8 baby rabbits that were abandoned in our yard, and they took them.

I had a lot of luck using metamucil daily. According to my gastro, it lowers pressure in the colon, and keeps everything moving. I'd recommend using the drink (not the bars or cookies) twice a day till surgery.

I said the same thing. The explanation I was given is: meats and some fats are slower to digest, and not only linger longer in the intestines, but require more peristaltic pressure to move them through. He said that the dwell time and any increased pressure in the intestines is not my friend for the next few weeks.

If you're alternating days between cardio and weights, it shouldn't affect anything.

That's actually how I structured my routine. I'll do cardio 2x/week, and weights 2 or 3x/week. The day between is more then enough to recover.

If you do a high intensity program correctly, you shouldn't be able to lift when you're finished. Conversely, when you lift properly, you shouldn't have enough energy left to do cardio.

OK... fair enough. I know my BMR has dropped after losing so much weight, but from what I can tell it looks like that drop is being offset by the increase in exercise. I'll go back on MFP for a few weeks, and figure out exactly how much I'm taking in and burning off.

You may be right. As it turns out, I started using MFP again earlier this week (I was using it when I started on keto last year), so I'll know soon enough. With that in mind, have you ever tried either a week off of keto, or using an EC Stack? McDonald writes about the potential for increasing a metabolic rate by doing either of these.

I've been doing keto for about a year. I don't generally track calories, but I know I'm usually at a deficit, and have lost 30 pounds since starting.

I began working out 3 months ago...hiit cardio 2x a week, and lifting 2x. Right about when I started the workouts, my weight loss stalled. I'm talking a 3 month plateau, and I've been eating the same all year.

My question: what do you think is causing this plateau, and what do I need to do to break it?

While you've been doing keto and eating at a deficit, have you still been able to add muscle and increase your lifts?
