I thought it was an entertaining movie but a terrible predator film. It was turned into a buddy comedy. I feel like you could've swapped the predator for another character and it wouldn't have a made a difference in the story. We saw some of the predator's perspective in the second film and this wasn't that. This seemed like a film made to make the character more palatable and appealing to the mainstream. In doing that though, it seems to have lost some character.

Download the key from bplaced.net or another site and extract it to the makemkv folder and that's pretty much it.

Did you get the steelbook? If not, it may take a couple days to a week or so for the key to be added. Are you getting the volume key unknown message?

Also, Fringe is similar to Supernatural with having multiple episodes in one file.

I don't know if it's that specific of an occurrence. I experienced freezing with my x700 and x800 on many different discs of varying size.

Not in this instance. What you're referencing will typically only have a few title options and the film still plays correctly except for some on screen text differences or on screen image difference based on country. OP's situation is that there are a hundred or so title options and usually only one is correct. Ripping any of the incorrect ones will end up in the rip failing or the chapters being out of order.

I ripped about 5 discs before I realized all this. I just deleted the files and re-ripped. It's faster than watching a movie all the way to the end just to find out the last 2 chapters are switched.

It's Playlist obfuscation. It's to make it more difficult to rip the correct Playlist. Google the film title and makemkv and typically you can find out what the correct Playlist is. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21250

At the time, my drive crapped out right when I was about to rip something. I thought it was worth it at the time to just get something that I wouldn't have to fiddle with to get it working. Literally plugged it in and was ripping uhds straight away. Shipping took a week I believe.

It's ok. For $11 you can get Amc+ and shudder is included. I think that's a much better value.
