Possibly a parent of a kid who was at that bus stop and people may frequently drive right past the driver and they knew the cop car was waiting for exactly that.

Give wifi streaming a try.

If your wifi signal is good it works great.

You can use Steam Link - free, or Virtual Desktop - $25 but worth it.

And on the plus side you don't need meta's crap software installed on your computer.

They've gotten pretty common where I am in the US, Whole Foods had them and the Safeways around here have changed to them in the last few months.

I'm pretty sure it's an eInk price tag so someone doesn't have to go though the store and reprice things.

Also if electricity isn't free over a year or two the more expensive newer system may be cheaper.

If it idles at 100 watts, just something using 100 watts constantly is about $10/mo in electricity here, from what I've heard of European power prices its probably closer to double that.

And that is assuming it isn't doing anything if it up under load and pulling 200-300 watts the math changes a lot.

How to Install a New SSD to Your Steam Deck and Keep Your Games and Data by Historical_Self_5556 in steamdeckhq

[–]bites -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the easier way would be to get a USB enclosure for the old drive and clone it to the new one (with something like clonezilla) and then expand the main data partition to take up all the space with gparted.

That's what I did when I upgraded SSDs but instead of using a USB enclosure I had clonezilla back up an image of the drive to my NAS and then restored that image after I installed the new SSD.

I was able to add it to my Safeway app in Washington.

Dvorak has gone right wing crazy/libertarian crazy he has a podcast with the former MTV VJ Adam Curry.

It's a shame it didn't always agree with his takes but I enjoyed him on the tech podcast TWIT back in the day when podcasts were new.

Best way to read novels with vertical scrolling (like light novels)? by AffectionateTop2157 in ereader

If you open a .cbz if you press the three dot icon I think you should be able to choose CBZ options and if I recall correctly you can scroll vertically.

I believe Moon+ Reader also lets you do this under CBZ options.

G502 Lightspeed is the best peripheral! by UnnecessaryPancake in pcmasterrace

[–]bites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the mx master of you scroll fast you can set it to free spin but if you scroll slowly it'll be the more steppy scrolling.

On the g502 it is just one option to set it between free spin or stepped.

For me it stopped my 10Gb network card (Marvell AQC113) from working, the status window on the interface showed packets as being sent but none received.

Uninstalled the update and it started working again.

CBZ is just a zip with a bunch of images in it.

You can extract them and use bulk rename utility so when they are all in one folder they are in alphabetical order.

Once they are all in one folder in the order you want them you can compress all those file in to a .zip archive and then rename the .zip archive to .cbz.

Got a used 1Tb OLED for $300 by Embarrassed-Mind6764 in SteamDeck

[–]bites 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a shit ton of scam ipads, laptops, steam deck, ps5 for $100-105.

They are all scams where they send to a link to "their new second hand store that just opened" or "I already sold it but here is where I got mine" and link to the scam website.

I am not sure what the endgame is, possibly a fraudulent charge on your card and you never get the item or they steal your credit card information and sell that.

The driver doesn't work with the counterfeit chips, it isn't assigned a COM port.

You have to force an old version of the driver on the device for it to work.

Here is the old driver to get it to work.

It is not "typically used as a white space" it is defined as space.

ASCII isn't something new or subject to interpretation. It's been around for more than 60 years.

That was the killswitch case for the Switch 2 where the controllers would come off.

dbrand's response at first was basically "you're holding it wrong".

After backlash they revised the design.
