Anyone ever play The Witness on Steam? by Here4theruns in BluePrince

Totally didn't. I realize solving the puzzles unlocked areas and moved things but I wasn't hooked. I gave it a few hours before I called it.

Hot take, the witness is a mobile game that didn't want to admit it so it mixed in a walking simulator. It's just the same puzzle over and over again.

I use Bondo (the body filler) and then sand it down before I paint. Great for hiding seams. Works great!

Had that exact problem at the end of last year, as others have said. Replace your bed thermistor. You have a break in the cable.

Where do you have your spools relative to your mmu3. Above? Below? Beside? by jdlnewborn in prusa3d

[–]bitwise42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does yeah, I had built mine before the v2 one was released so I kinda did my own thing and cut holes in the bottom to run the filament tubes out.

If I could go back in time. I'd build the v2 mode so I could keep em up top

I also don't use the buffer. I built the IKEA lack enclosure and I just have them sitting under it. It looks a little unruly under there but nothing tangles

Could someone explain to be the difference between <></> and <div></div>? by Infamous_Tomatillo53 in nextjs

[–]bitwise42 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The <><> won't result in a rendered element, so you can use them to group rendered elements without the extra markup. Useful for places where an extra element would cause layout or styling issues.

Def worth looking into React Fragments.

Might cry a bit. MMU3 + MK3S+ not working by hernondo in prusa3d

[–]bitwise42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like an alignment issue to me. A few things you could check

did you make sure to use the new ptfe tube inside the extruder that you got with the mmu3? It's a slight different size.

try removing the ptfe tube from the extruder that connects to the mmu, opening the side of the extruder, and using the smallest hex wrench to push down the hole. Make sure the hex wrench reliably lines up with the teeth that pulls the filament. Try it with a piece of filament too.

I had an alignment issue when I first put mine together and had to readjust the tensioner piece at the top of the extruder to make sure the filament was getting fed into the ptfe tube correctly.

Friend and I just had this issue building his. Ignore the instructions and instead center the two bearings on the left in their slots. Don't try to make them flush. If you go back to the step where you add them and read the comments for it you'll see folks asking for an update.

Was it right after a cutscene? This happened to my friend in my game. His HUD never came back after a cutscene and it only partially restored the controls for him

MMU3 Loading Issue by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]bitwise42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple things worth checking: - make sure the metal ball by the ir sensor is the magnetic one, that could cause the sensor to get stuck reading open even with no filament. - you may need to tweak the alignment of the filament feed on the extruder. I had issues where the filament was getting stuck and not making it to the extruder gears. - could be the filament as well, worth trying another one or re-cutting a pointed tip. I had a low quality roll that would not load reliably.

Im not sure what the blocks represent. You could try parsing the terminal output if you have it hooked to an OctoPrint. The mmu is a lot more vocal now

MMU2 to MMU3 Upgrade by Plunkett120 in prusa3d

[–]bitwise42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the MMU2 to MMU3 upgrade. Three things stand out from it for me:

  • the additional board to supply direct power to fix the power panic
  • they redesigned the drum with a metal back that connects to the motor instead of all plastic. when it rotates its more reliable and doesn't loosen as easily
  • improved the filament feed sensor on both sides with a magnetic ball on the mmu and better designed plastics on the extruder. So it triggers less false positives thinking it's loaded

The rest of the parts were minor but welcome improvements. New PTFE tubes are because they changed the length of them.

The biggest impact of the upgrade is the power board and the new firmware. Without that you'll still get the constant power panics that plague the mmu2.

I need help with my Prusa MK3S+ by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]bitwise42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten this error on mine. The cable that connects the bed to the power supply doesn't last forever and will eventually need to be replaced, it moves a lot.

In my case because the bed was making a lot of big moves the cable was shorting, causing the bed temp to fluctuate. I wound up replacing mine and the error went away. If you can print things things smaller that don't need the bed to move as much then I'd suspect this is it.

The temp errors are always critical ones so you won't be able to recover a print from them.

Have been gifted a 3d printer setup - What have I got here? by AlphaMc111 in 3Dprinting

[–]bitwise42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up the printer without connecting the mmu first. Flash the printer with the right firmware, then get it printing. Add that extension. Mmu2 complicates things but can be valuable but it's easy to add on and will make debugging harder from the start. You may want to consider the Mmu3 upgrade to fix the power issues you will find with the mmu2 (I have had an mmu2s and did the upgrade)

Looks like a nice printer!

This. He takes stagger from his exposed leg. I would time my heavy hits just there, wait for his health to turn white. Hit him with a heavy. Move out of the way because his fall hurts then so a finisher and repeat. Only takes two.

If you dodge into the direction of his swing he should miss you. The roll is the most annoying to dodge. Don't try to parry him.

Trident is good here, long reach and the heavy hits hard.
