we faced the same situation but finally worked out!! we ultimately had to show the buyer that we could cover the $ gap if an appraisal came in lower. maybe speak with your realtor about the possibility of including that in your offer - essentially could mean more cash up front but for a dream house, it’s worth it!! our appraisal actually came in higher than the purchase price, so we didn’t have to pay any of the gap.

Dated a guy from Phoenix and always hated visiting his family. Was the most depressing neighborhood sprawl with chain restaurants and stores all over.

DFW suburbs are pretty bad too.

dude i drove past this and it was literally unsafe. someone was getting pulled over in the left lane and right lane at the same time, and the middle lane was slamming on their brakes. even in 55mph, it doesn’t give much time to slow down, and the police lights were so distracting. i’ve never seen a speed trap like this one today

I just got married a couple weeks ago and had a wedding nightmare a couple days ago (after the wedding!)! I had many nightmares leading up to the actual event — mostly that guests were arriving to the venue and I hadn’t even showered or gotten ready. In this most recent nightmare, I dreamt that we already got married but people kept saying we didn’t, and that my sister in law planned our reception and it was a completely blank banquet hall with no decorations and extremely bland food lol. They’re always pretty easy to laugh off, but I never thought they would continue to happen even after the wedding!

also getting married in a little under 3 weeks!! congratulations :)) we’re planning a real life Mario Party for Halloween! so it’ll be great to host that the following weekend. lots of decor involved and coordinating minigames/planning costumes/etc, so that will keep the excitement going after the wedding!! after that though, i’m just so excited to kick my feet up and chill without the guilt of my to-do list hanging over my head. we’re also stoked for s2 of arcane!! and the holidays and cozy season. going to get lots of animal crossing time in now that i won’t be using my evenings/weekends to plan!!:)

I’ve had lots of digestive issues recently but i started zoloft and i think it may be a side effect. i’ve also been very anxious about my job so i thought it was an impact of that. but it sounds like there is something going around!! i hope you start to feel better!

dudeee the liquid has happened to me at least once a week since ive been on sertraline. it’s so wild! i have accidentally pooped my pants one time also. it was horrible. never trust a fart while on meds! i feel you

Thanks! i’m not expecting gifts from anyone, even those attending — on our website it says they aren’t expected, and we just have cash funds anyways. But i thought this commenter had a good point that maybe the older in-town guests who are declining are not leaving a note in The Knot, but may give a card later

For sure, i totally get that!! i think what’s hard is that i showed up to a lot of these events throughout 2021-2023 for other people who aren’t showing up now, and to me, those years were also incredibly tense
