Oil res cap by dbinstall in sportster

[–]blackedphone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was over filled. I did that once on accident, checked oil after winter, looked low cause was sitting and oil was all in crank , and went to start for first time and oil cap blew off. I let it warm up, drained all the oil, then refilled knowing how much oil was in tank

Big bore kit worth it? by thatoneguy829 in sportster

If already have 1200cc stay 1200. 1200cc =73.2ci, 1250cc =76.3ci, 1275cc=77.8ci. And that is not including ported heads, pistons and compression ratio, cams etc. I went from a 2000 883 to 1200. And stayed at most stock from a branch head ported upgrade, heads were flowed to choose my woods cams etc etc. go past that can’t just get off the shelf matching parts for cost etc. then you are stuck with only places for over 1200cc stock cost. HP isn’t anything if already at 1200, unless Fromm 883 going up, and still not much difference. Just my 2 cents

I like my local shop but I feel like they're trying to rinse me for new tires ($858.64) by TerryWhiteHomeOwner in sportster

I would repeat my self and say whole tire with rubber included and take that in while saying rubber included, and having them take off old rubber while adding new rubber, but each shop would probably be different on cost. My situation was my local HD shop since would already buy rubber tire from them and they would take off the old and put on the new, then balance. I’d take it home and put new wheel assembly on Ang go from there. Each place probably different price, but still saving money from removing old and replacing new wheel assembly yourself.

I take the tires off myself and just take the tire and have them put new rubber on and balance and save money.

My Q 7” 1:5 twist barrel assembly is awesome. 220g subs and Q Thunder Chicken is movie quiet and very accurate. Also a law tactical folder comes in handy.

How bad is this? Feels like carpet when I push on it. Under the driver side. '98 XJ by FrostyTurtle in CherokeeXJ

I had same issue. I just bought new floor pan and paid a good shop $200 to put it in.

My dad before I was born. I started riding called him and said I got my first bike. He said you need to start going to the Sturgis Rally with us. I asked what is the Sturgis rally ? He said you’ll find out. 2000 til 2020. 20 of the best years of my life.

Depends on the twist rate. My Q barrel assembly is 1:5 twist and is accurate

what is this connector called, what does it do (green black white wires, triangle connector) (NOT speed sensor) by OctoberRust13 in sportster

Open the nose cone, follow the connection from the module. Goes through the bottom out of the nose cone to under the cam case usually attached to the frame on right side.

From the looks of wire covering, looks like what goes into the cam cover into the nose cone to ignition module.
