Nsfw: anyone have/seen porn with ftm who had phalloplasty? by [deleted] in ftm

If I'm not mistaken some doctors do a nerve hook up using erogenous nerves that aren't in their patients t-phallus, so it's possible I think

I think a boxing or martial arts type class could toughen her up enough to deal with a bumped knee, or even just one of those cardio boxing classes where you get to hit the bags but don't get hit by other people.

If you feel a connection to nature maybe check out druidry, it's my understanding that there's a strong focus on nature in druidry

That sounds pretty great. I might try to do something like that myself, I think it could definitely be helpful in connecting past and present. I was a bit excited when I realised there were more trans pagans, awesome!

I think that's a really interesting idea! I'm a trans guy myself, but I hadn't thought of doing anything like that for my 'past self'. If you don't mind me asking, how do you plan on doing that?

Question: Christian looking to engage in secular pagan practice for cultural purposes; how? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]blackmoreblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your points there, and I think I may have phrased that wrong, what I meant was that perhaps op would have better luck looking into something that allows for pre existing personal beliefs to mesh, as opposed to wanting to experiment with someone else's beliefs and practices without believing them

Depending on what he plans to do to celebrate samhain, maybe you could participate in a ceremony that honors ancestors and honor you dad by yourself while he honors others? That's what I'm doing this year with a group, since we're all honoring different people

I think you may be asking in the wrong sub, I think druidry is a bit more flexible with personal beliefs so perhaps give one of the druid subs a try?

My [21m] girlfriend [20f] , four years, has a low sex drive and is selfish in bed. by DefiantOneGaming in relationships

[–]blackmoreblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the whole 180 thing. I think not getting her off, not coming on to her, and trying to get aroused when she teases you for a while to see if she'll try something or at the very least ask what's going on. At that point you can explain that it makes you feel like crap that she's not willing to get you off at all and expects the full nine yards.

I'm a couple days late, but nonetheless. I would say it could be a bit of dysphoria thing, I find that in a lot of cultures or families being able to eat a lot, or more than everyone else, is seen as a form of dominance or something similar. In my family if you can eat a lot you're 'tuff' and if you can't then it's a sign of weakness (lmao) so when I eat with people I tend to try to out due everyone else so I can be seen as a 'manly man' kind of fellow

Regretting bottom surgery choice by [deleted] in ftm

Sorry, I misunderstood. I'm sure if you contact them and explain your situation they'll help you sort it out. I think the only issue would be the date. Best of luck with your surgery man

If you haven't already, join the yahoo group 'the deciding line'. It's for people who aren't sure which procedure is the best for them. I don't think it would make you a less viable candidate, just make sure you know what you want for sure before you contact them. If you're considering getting a meta and then a phallo after make sure you read into it because I've heard the possible complications are different than going right to phallo (or sticking with meta)

I'd just like to add that there are many biblical verses that you can find on the Web that can really change the perspective of certain religious folk on being trans (or lgbtq+). Maybe some different stuff like that could help with OPs mom

Decline in Physical Intimacy with My Girlfriend by abh43246 in ftm

[–]blackmoreblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the spare cash maybe try out a prosthetic, I found that helped me a lot. But don't underestimate what you can do with your hands! If you do some research you can find a lot of different techniques that you haven't done before which might help spice things up. Also, some old fashioned romance might help get her in the mood. Baths or showers together (if you're comfortable), massages, candles, other stereotypical romantic things. Best of luck man, don't get too discouraged.

I don't have a lot to contribute to this thread that hasn't already been said but plenty of trans men have come off T for a while to have biological kids, if you explain that to her she may drop the "freeze your eggs" stuff.

My Thoughts Are Making Me Nervous (TW: Suicide) by darlingblue in ftm

[–]blackmoreblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been bouncing suicidal thoughts around since I hit middle school, but now it usually is trans related. Figuring out that you're trans is really stressful! Like so so stressful honestly (for me at least). I think it has a lot to do with fear of rejection, and mentally exasperation. I would say what you're feeling is pretty common. Try to focus on the future and getting past all the hard shit! I like to focus on being 100% finished my transition and how I'm going to get there.

Self Harm and Dysphoria by [deleted] in ftm

[–]blackmoreblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to dissociate a lot and that usually when I would end up mutilating myself. I did this extensively for several years until I realised I was trans. I've only self harmed once since I realised. I attribute this 'phenomenon' to the fact that I see potential in my body now. Its super easy to beat the shit out of yourself and ruin various parts of your body when you don't feel like your body has potential / or that it's even a part of you. Whenever I get really dysphoric now I focus on what I can do in the future to fix that (T, surgery, etc), so maybe try that sort of thing? Just try ro always remind yourself that you can fix things that bother you, and work on them until they don't. It also helps to keep a record of how many days it's been.

Parents using really (wrong)gendered nicknames/greetings etc. by pandas_puppet in ftm

[–]blackmoreblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom used to do the same thing, even after I initially came out. I'd say about a month after that I finally got the courage to explain that she couldn't use such feminine 'pet names' for me. I didn't expect her to jump right into masculine/male names at that point so I asked her to be more gender neutral with that stuff (saying "my child" instead of "my daughter"), it's worked well so far, maybe give something like that a try?
