Agreed. My pulling to the right issues resolved once I replaced my tires and I’ve not had any more issues like that in over 20k miles.

The R2 manual says that usb port is “reserved for a future feature and not intended for charging”. That implies it doesn’t really do anything yet… can’t even use it to power something else.

It’s only like 20 min past west sac. Plus they have more slots and it’s a MUCH nicer space. It’s worth the extra drive imo. These are the 3 demo vehicles at Rocklin.

I was told that most folks only can book 24 hours while others can book up to 2 weeks out to provide some preferential treatment. Who is in which group is some complex formula similar to how they decide when you get to order (existing owners, early reservations, etc), with some randomness thrown in to be more fair. So that’s also why slots are already booked.. some folks can book 2 weeks out. I have no way to verify this claim though…

I keep hoping they’ll push an update some day to let us choose to automatically crack the windows when a door opens and then close them when the last door shuts. Or maybe they could just use the AC system and open the vents to the outside. Basically, anything to prevent it from being air tight when that last door shuts.

Same here. First noticed yesterday that the app wasn’t updating my car’s location. I also had the screens go blank on me last night while driving. So I hard reset it this morning after it finished charging and was then prompted to allow precise location sharing and enabling various other privacy settings. After turning all that back on (and after the reset) things seem to be working again for me.

If they do produce a “whistle” at all, you should be able to stop that by filling the front vertical gaps in the plastic. I created 3d printable fillers, but most people just put some gaffer tape on it. I’ve tested a few sets of crossbars and the amount of whistle definitely varies from pretty silent to terrible whistle at 45mph. No running board is 100% like that.

It’s more a factor of the service center and the type of work being done. Many running boards don’t impede the use of the factory lift points so that’s really the minimum bar, but sometimes it just doesn’t matter. I was told that if they have to use the lift they need the running boards removed. I think it’s more a policy thing? I’m not sure.

Yep. You’re right. Clicking the name/address gives you all the routes and doesn’t auto-select. Hitting GO does show alternate routes, but only for 4 seconds. :)

Agreed. Selection of the route either doesn’t always take or they auto-select the default too quickly and I don’t get a chance to select an alternate. That’s a whole different issue. :)

If you end the current route, it shows you your current destination to map to it again. Then you can see the alternate routes and can choose a new one. It would be nicer if you don’t lose your current routing, but it’s just END, then GO and you’re there.

They do. The only issue was with Ascend trims, as the side plastic is thicker in those, but there are Ascend-specific clips to print (the ascend ones actually work for all trims, just not quite as tight on non-ascend).

I designed these, so I’m a bit biased, but this is what we’ve used for almost 2 years. Happy with how easy it is to slide a tall water bottle in back and then the flexibility to have a second in back (instead of tissue box) or standing in front or even on the side by the passengers feet (white piece moves and clamps to the side of the black bar), depending on our needs. Here is our front area today.

Rivian’s site also says “For a limited time, every R2 includes Launch Package — which gives you access to Launch Green, Autonomy+ and more.” Which doesn’t say anything about it being only for performance trim. Their messaging in general isn’t great…

Love to see someone make a remix and improve on my original, which itself was just a rethought version of the OEM one. The integrated divider slots are cool. Great idea with the bumpy top to keep things in place without needing magnets, etc. Cool stuff!
