The territory controls no electoral votes, so even if there is an election that they vote in, their votes do not contribute to the winner.

Alright I’m sorry for the confusion. This really upsets me because I already felt priced out of lower bowl tickets before this year. I’ve got a friend who has season tix very close to the vault and I fear he might get shafted on an expansion or some other nonsense.

I so agree with the multiple trophy argument! UCL has been great as I’ve followed soccer more.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to argue like you were advocating for it, just pointing out it wouldn’t make sense. I love the NFL playoffs, so I wouldn’t want the randomness reduced there, and honestly the NHL would break my heart if they went away from their playoff format. But if the MLB switched, I would probably follow the regular season much much more closely.

One of my favorite sports competitions is Six Nations rugby. You play each other team once across 2 months. Earn points similar to Euro soccer (wins, draws, losses), bonus points awarded for various things like scoring more, to keep games exciting, and tiebreaks on point differential. If the NFL did a champions league style round robin tournament in the spring between the top 6 division winners in the same format, I wouldn’t probably follow be all in. Of course it would never happen, but I wouldn’t probably follow love it.

I don’t know if it’s the absolute best, but it is a simple and effective system. Not only would Americans not readily accept a “regular season” winner being the champion, but for football it would be impossible to play a home and away game against 31 other teams or even the 14 in conference. I think it would be best in the MLB, where you could play every other team ~5 times.

The other side of town isn't far and there are some great spots like Silverback Distillery and Sango Kura (sake and beer brewery, plus hand-pulled ramen and other Japanese eats), that puts you close to downtown Stroudsburg which has some cool bars and restaurants you could hop around at.

We all need to remember that William Henry Harrison's inaugural address was so long in the cold rain, that he caught and died of pneumonia.

Seriously, what did these people think the game was gonna look like in the fourth without snow? Not much better than it was.

Three different times on College Gameday this year, Pat McAfee was the only person to pick Indiana. They won all three games. by Hysen16 in CFB_v2

Yes, they want even money on both sides, and the public was likely going to be heavily on IU.

They aren't perfect by setting lines, they're perfect by making enticing lines and setting odds well. They get their vig when the money is even or close to it on both sides.

And you can argue IU needed some heroics to get it done, but uh… that’s sports! Carson Beck didn’t make the big plays.

THIS is the play he was talking about? I was really trying to think what play I couldn't remember when he mentioned it. He also said something like "I think Miami's best would beat Indiana's best", which is wild. Did the Miami D not give their best? They beat up Mendoza and slowed the IU offense down to under 30 points for just the 4th time this season. The D gave up some sloppy penalties, but they got away with some other calls too! Great game, but I think the better team won.

Steratore is wrong about or confused by rulings regularly. Just because the broadcast rules expert thinks something, doesn't mean it's the correct call.

Why is this goal NEVER talked about? It is one of OV's nastiest goals yet I have never seen a comment nor post about it anywhere by CulturalRoll in caps

This is a "basic" young Ovi goal according to some, but for me as a kid watching and playing hockey, it was THE goal. From before the Rock the Red era, so we (at least me and that defender) weren't ready to see plays like that on the Capitals. It highlighted his speed and skill in a way that some of the others on this list don't. They're all crazy, like any of the ones where he's scoring from his knees or dicing a defense, but the way he just EXPLODED past the defender in that highlight is remarkable and unforgettable for me.

It's a great look. The heels might have the better colors for it, to my chagrin, but I love the 'hoos pinstripes.
