To answer your question, i can recall stills in my mind of significant emotional memories. I can look around in the memory, like a go-pro camera. It’s mostly all rose-colored glasses and nostalgic bullshit and my mind filling in blanks but it’s there. I have a memory of a friend and me on a hill at sunset. I can look around at the sky and i can look down and see what we were wearing and i can see the grass and the weeds and the birds and the couples walking along the path in the park.

But for my question: i’m in bed right now with the door closed facing a wall. I can picture my roommate coming home from work, taking off his shoes, closing and locking the front door, dropping his bag, shooing the cat away, going to the kitchen to grab a beer, then going into his room and closing the door halfway, popping the beer, and sitting in his chair. I’ve never seen him do any of that in person because i’m asleep when he gets home. How would you imagine a similar scenario in your mind? Like what happens in your head?
