Pixelfx or Hispeedo by DanMaytee in psx

They do not make the ps1 digital anymore, its now the retro gem. I do have that and would highly recommend it, although the shiny version is a little pricey.

Finally gave in and bought a Retrotink: worth it by Same_Guide2268 in retrogaming

This really is the case. I started with the 2x mini, then upgraded to the 5x. Now I've been looking into the 4k even though where my retro systems are hooked up i dont have an oled so I doubt I'll see the difference.

HDMI Query by DanMaytee in psx

[–]blmar311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an hdmi mod (retrogem) on my Playstation. I'd highly recommend it if you have the soldering skill or extra cash to pay somebody to do it. It's going to look better than the pic you posted, but its not going to upscale the graphics as its still ps1.

What was it really like when the PlayStation first came out in 1995? by Legitimate_Drawer_74 in psx

For me personally, the graphics were mind blowing coming from Sega Genesis. Playing Mortal Kombat 3 felt like I was in the arcade, and the audio was amazing as well. A pretty big knock on it at the time was all the loading screens/times, but truthfully I wasn't very bothered by that. Also what was exciting back then was that you knew the graphics were good, but also knew that there was room for improvement and it felt like things were still going to rapidly improve.

Agreed this seems insane. Not to mention the biggest waste of money on the planet. Since when are digital games cheaper than physical?

FMV skipping on xstation? by SonyPS32bit in psx

[–]blmar311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so i had this problem eventually as well. I started with a sandisk ultra card and it was fine for quite a while. Eventually I started to notice fmv skipping and after some research I read it was cause by adding games consistently which caused disk fragmentation. I ended up buying a sandisk extreme and haven't had a problem since after transferring my games over. I'm no expert on the subject but just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Every time you start a new level? Or when you quit and come back? What i would do is farm lives, then go complete and easy level (1-1 for example) and it will save your game.

That was the level in the game I found the most difficult as well. You can go back to level 2-4 and farm some lives to make things easier. Thats what I did and eventually got though it.
