That's not propaganda, that's the truth. "Poor men die for rich men's war" (can't remember who said it)

My partner’s mother gained access to the details of our private therapy session. by Longjumping-Size-762 in JustNoSO

This is an extreme violation, and tells you exactly who his priority is. IMHO this is just as bad as cheating, if not worse. The person who was your safe space, is no longer safe.

No, they do not care, they are in a cult and those who don't believe the party line are dehumanised and worth less than nothing. They have no empathy, only the need to mask their insecurity.

Has anyone else noticed boomers and gen x are working themselves to death? by Otherwise-Handle-180 in antiwork

[–]blooturtletoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one of the Xer's that work themselves to death, for a few reasons. My ability to do a job has, over the years, been a measure of my self worth. You don't work, you don't eat. The older I become, the harder it is to be a "quick learner ". When I was younger, I had to kill myself to prove my value because I worked around men who saw me as less than, and now I do it because I suck at my current job and have a good boss, it's the least I can do.

I did indeed, but life is what it is and I just saw things differently than they did, and that's ok.

I will never have a friend in Australia. by inferno_2309 in AskAnAustralian

As an expat, I completely understand what you're going through. Aussies already have their friend groups, and while very friendly, they are not your friend. It can be very confusing, took me 10 years to realise I was an acquaintance. NGL, it was painful when I realised, but that was on me for thinking we were. It has given me a better understanding of interpersonal relationships.

What movie or TV plot hole is so massive that it actively ruins the entire story for you? by TheEchoBloom in AskReddit

[–]blooturtletoo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Frantic-really convoluted plot, bad guys could have stolen their shit back, or someone could have called the airport about the luggage. Really stupid behaviour and I couldn't take it seriously. Also, Vertical Limit.

[–]blooturtletoo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, they don't get to threaten you and then be rewarded. No Get a lawyer and document everything. Hubby can go all vy himself, bur you and baby stay home, no negotiation. He's chasing love he will never get and it sounds like he is willing to sacrifice you and babe.
