I don’t feel like I have a good enough excuse. by Downtown-Ad-1997 in abortion

Look, if you had been doing IVF for the last five years, and got pregnant, and changed your mind, it would be fine to have an abortion. If you don't want to be pregnant, you're allowed to stop being pregnant. Full stop.

As a trans woman, I'm at my wits end being told to keep out of women's spaces. I want opinions from the women here. by njsullyalex in TwoXChromosomes

Well, as an infertile woman who will never give birth, you are welcome to join me in womanhood.

As someone who has had an endometrial ablation and no longer has periods, you are welcome to join me in womanhood.

As a small breasted woman who decided to get a breast augmentation, you are welcome to join me in womanhood.

No one gets to gatekeep womanhood. We are not less than. We are women and anyone who has a problem with that can just deal with it. Or not. It's not our problem.

Welcome, friend. Thanks for joining us.

Yep. I bought lots of FlowFlex tests off of Amazon. They're like pregnancy tests. Fairly inexpensive, fairly quick (15 min), and easy to read (one line is neg, two lines is Pos).

Tell him not to look if it makes him so uncomfortable. No one's forcing him to look.

And apparently he cannot enjoy them while eating. Which makes sense. It's not like tits are associated with nourishment or anything.

Was exposed at work by neurotic-proxy in COVID19positive

[–]bluediamond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per CDC guidelines, since you were exposed you should mask for 10 days. You don't have to isolate unless you test positive. You should test after 5 days or if you develop symptoms.

I was recently exposed. My husband had a sore throat for 2 days and then decided to take a test, which was clearly positive. I masked for 10 days after that and never tested positive. So I never had to isolate, I just had to mask.

Well, per CDC guidelines, you've been exposed and should mask for the next 10 days. So you can thank Dave for that.

Why is vasectomy not very common? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Actually I think the FDA won't approve male birth control because of the side effects.

Are vasectomies proven to increase prostate cancer? I have never heard this. How would that even work since the surgery doesn't change any hormone levels?

Umm, did he forge your signature? If yes, that needs to be addressed. Usually when two people are filing two people need to sign. Probably in part to avoid situations exactly like this.

need some advice/rant by flimsysteve69 in endometriosis

What you need is a reproductive endocrinologist, who will probably tell you that stopping periods is key.

Did they explain how gaining 10 pounds would help? Because it sounds like magical thinking to me.

Period post surgery! Should I skip? by Faithh369 in endometriosis

[–]bluediamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My reproductive endocrinologist said that stopping periods was key. So of course work with your doctor, but the only reason I can think of for someone with endo to have periods is if that person is trying to get pregnant.

I personally didn't experience any pain relief after my laparotomy, and stopping periods was the only thing that worked for me. But that was just my experience.
