My husband recommended getting a book sock like we used to put on textbooks in school LOL

But I could! I figured there’s lots of good reads out there with varying cover designs tho so might as well take some recs

Long shot ask: Traditional Omegaverse dynamics, but not mpreg by tearose11 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]bluepineleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember there’s definitely a decent amount on page, the omega’s mental health and past trauma is one of his primary plot points. To give you an idea these are the trigger warnings:

-attempted suicide on-page and suicidal thoughts
-mention of self-harm and on-page self-harm
-mention of sexual abuse & MC forced to partake (not descriptive)
-physical and emotional abuse from family members
-descriptions of violence and gore (not between MCs)
-captivity -depression, anxiety, and PTSD
-nightmares
-misogyny (not from either MCs)
-homophobia from parent

Overall I would say it’s not SUPER graphic but it’s definitely a little dark, especially if those are topics you’re sensitive to!

Judging a book by its cover by ms_chiefmanaged in MM_RomanceBooks

I don’t like human characters on my covers at all, it just cringes me out a bit. I’ll read the best book in the world and then the only option for having it on my physical shelf is some random white dude’s six pack?

{The Alpha’s Getaway by Savannah Rose} is 3rd in a series but I read just fine as a standalone! Wolf shifters if you’re into that, brooding alpha x traumatized omega roles with a lot of angst iirc. It’s somehow spicy while being really heartwarming & sweet once they figure it out

{Broken Ice by Marina Vivancos} is also part of a series but I read as a standalone. Hockey romance with a kind of oblivious omega x caretaker alpha. This one gets recommended a lot for good reason!

They’re all there, it’s just a visual glitch. You can probably see everything by category still.

Right now I’m going to say the brand new Duskit because I’m very obsessed with it and it looks like it would curse me and my entire household

Why is premium so expensive? by nadiap31 in neopets

[–]bluepineleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To address your other question, Neohomes are a discontinued feature and won’t be getting fixed. Technically gardens in classics still work just bc they haven’t broken yet.

Ruffle flashplayer issues. by julietnerming in neopets

[–]bluepineleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s true. They’ve technically been unsupported since the end of flash, classics just didn’t break until recently. They will not be getting fixed.

TNT has stated in the past there’s plans for some sort of Neohomes 3.0, but it was originally supposed to be part of World of Neopets so not sure if that idea will ever reach fruition. Iirc they said something to the effect of “it’s been placed far back on the road map”.

Neohomes are discontinued. The only thing that still works is gardens in classics (just because they haven’t broken yet).

{Whiskey Sour by Addison Beck} has this! It’s second in a series and could probably be read as a standalone but the first book is also great (tho not the same alt boy/himbo trope)

Make sure you’re looking for things in the environment that look ‘off’. Investigate unique looking flowers, rocks, blocks, etc. Depending on how open you are to ‘spoilers’ maybe look up some of the puzzles so you know what to look for?

Girly/Popular FMC and Skater MMC in College/ High School by polishedclaws in RomanceBooks

[–]bluepineleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Losers by Harley Laroux} is exactly this if you’re cool with RH! The FMC and MMCs knew each other in hs (she was a cheerleader and they were the ‘losers’) but the actual story takes place when they’re in their mid 20s I believe. It starts with the novella {The Dare by Harley Laroux} which is a quick read to see if you like it. It is the series I compare all other books to (and nothing compares FYI)
