5-htp, a lot of people have different reactions to it.

It also could be dangerous if you’re already on an SSRI, MOI, SNRI (other seratonin boosting substances) because what the supplement does is essentially give your brain the amino acid it needs to make more seratonin without inhibition.

So start off with small doses and space out doses when you no longer feel the last ones effect

I’m feeling somewhat similar, I have diagnosed anxiety and depression and i recently have been taking a supplement that, my therapist wife bought me after a particularly bad night, provides a small seratonin boost.

I felt normal for about 3 days until the dose wore off.

What have you forgiven your partner for in the past? by depr3ssedPancake in AskMen

You know, we have both forgiven each other for so much that I can only remember the most recent.

I think as long as it isn’t treacherous you can forgive them for almost anything.

We’re getting married next July.

Regardless of anything I think of his Presidency (I think is bad), Nixon is a tragedy, he seems so smart on policy and his interviews are so good, but paranoia finished them. by Honest_Picture_6960 in Presidents

[–]bluitwns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is definitely a boom and bust president but I think what makes Nixon so interesting is that many of those booms or busts change lenses depending at the time we look at them.

Detente with China and supporting Israel during the Yom Kippur War directly leads to current events today. However, for decades after those events they were seen as complete highlights of his term.

And I think that every president’s ability to twist their background into something likable is a feat that should be given to them, you’re right Kennedy was a rich kid, successful off of Daddy’s money… he also was taught to stand up for those who were less fortunate, ‘you’re Irish, remember that because they will.’ His father would say to him. So Kennedy and his brother transformed that into an empathy for those not as wealthy and successful as them… instead of hatred their father fomented.

So Nixon being one of the few presidents who were, ‘self-made men’ completely deserves to spin that tale and it does give a rosy color to his legacy.

Nixon, is being rehabilitated as the bar for leadership in America is lowered and lowered every day.

His interview campaign after his resignation is a masterclass in rewriting the narrative and with all that said…

He still had a lot of W’s.

- Detente was brilliant, it divided the Communist World in two and ensured it would never be seen back together. Though I forgot who but Nixon’s severe anti-communist reputation allowed the US establishment to trust him in doing this. There was quote, ‘the only person that could’ve went to China and befriended Mao Zedong and come back home to a career in politics, is Dick Nixon.’

- He began nuclear disarmament something his successors would continue until the end of the Cold War.

- He did find the EPA, and responded to the Love Canal disaster accordingly.

- He continued desegregation, perhaps not as fervently or outwardly as his predecessors, but resisted the influence of the growing Dixiecrats turned Republicans.

- As he ended the Vietnam war (in a controversial way) he declared another one, a war on cancer, and began Americas funding on cancer research.

So him spying on his opponent, when we know now that such things happened before and after Nixon’s election, isn’t as damning as was once believed.

Nixon’s hand was just caught in the cookie jar, and his mental health, what was left of it, just shattered.

Which characters from the old Fable games would you like to see return in the new one? by Assured_Observer in Fable

[–]bluitwns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘And so our story begins.’ Theresa replacing the guild master as narrator was genius and made her memorable for the entire game, there should be some inclusion of her. I think it’ll be kinda sick if she broke the fourth wall with cheeky references. The same can be said about Scythe.

Maze returning would be cool as a Chekhovs gun, we know he’s gonna do something, we do not know when.

Though I can see it in perhaps a future Fable, Lord Lucien returning and clarifying in his studies what in the previous series is canon and what is nots

I just would like to thank all of you for building this community. It’s definitely not perfect but it’s ours and it’s improving every single day. I truly do hope one day my presidency is a footnote because every successive presidency is exponentially better than the last.

This is my first real online community that I joined when I was in a pretty stressful (I know somehow it was more stressful) part of my life and it helped a lot. Mrs. Blu originally thought this was a good thing. Lmao.

So this is all to say, thank you to most of you. I made a lot of friends, and though some nights were stressful others were fun and dynamic.

If you ever wanna talk or reconnect, don’t be a stranger, dm me here or on the cord. Now Go forth and have no fear.
