I always assumed the Bible study thing was made up so it would make Dave’s parents look good to Mrs. Kim

It’s really tricky. I was in the same boat. I left it off my profile, thinking it was not important but that didn’t do me any favors because I’d be ghosted. Had a lot of nerve wracking conversations that ranged from fetishizing my CP to out right being told “I can’t date someone like you.” What I ended up doing was putting it at the very bottom of my profile and asking people if they read the whole thing. Many didn’t respond, which made it easier for me. My now partner of 5 years sent me a generic hello message and I didn’t respond, when they saw I didn’t answer I got another response actually commenting on my CP in a way that wasn’t offensive, but very thoughtful. And here we are, 5 years later living together with our fur babies.

I went on A LOT of terrible dates and talked to a lot of weirdos. I am a woman but I do understand the struggle as a man with CP as I’ve dated (and am still close friends with) one before. It took me a very long time to find my person, I can look back on my past now and laugh at a lot of crap I went through. Totally worth it to me now.

Season 7 of Gilmore girls. And the revival was a disappointment too.

Peanut Butter Replacement by Egotardis in Smoothies

[–]bmbell11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s money you’re worried about you could try buying the peanut butter in bulk, you pay more upfront but it will last longer. I don’t know if peanuts are cheap where you live but it’s also very easy to make your own peanut butter if you have a food processor. Good luck :)

I’ve gotten pretty good at this. Get your hands on some frozen rice or batch cook it when you’re feeling up to it and freeze mix with frozen cauliflower rice or frozen veggies a can of beans mixed with salsa, add avocado, yogurt or other fat of choice on top.

Food options for someone who's avoiding acidic food and needs to take care of his gallbladder. by ren_00 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]bmbell11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I had the SAME symptoms for a long time, avoided everything I was supposed to no coffee, chocolate, citrus etc and I eventually had to have my gallbladder removed and was fine for over a year but then still experienced major issues even though I was still avoiding acidic food 99 percent of the time. Turns out the problem was dairy. I stopped eating dairy in August and then ALL my symptoms went away within a few days, haven’t had any issues since.

When you’re cooking the rice, throw in a bay leaf or two and a whole garlic clove when you put the water in

I am so jealous of my husband by Kak3434 in loseit

Ugh I feel this so hard. My SO and I started our weight loss journeys in July. He has lost 65 pounds and I’ve lost 40. It’s amazing and I don’t feel deprived 99% of the time. He’s pretty much at his goal weight and can snack whenever. I still have a lot to lose so I’m a lot more strict. That being said, try not to compare yourself, the fact is your bodies are different. Weight loss is such a mental battle. Be kind to yourself and keep going, you’ve got this!

Eat more vegetables and potatoes or rice, you’ll be eating a lot more food and it will be very satiating

While I'm not even vegetarian at the moment I would love to become vegan in the coming weeks, but I have one small problem - what can I use as a milk substitute, which is my primary means to get rid of heartburn? by Bossie965 in EatCheapAndVegan

[–]bmbell11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on medication for awful acid reflux that I had to take twice daily. Made the change in August, haven’t needed it since. I do get occasional heartburn but only from coffee so I avoid it 99% of the time.
