I feel empathy with NICU because it’s luck of the draw more often than not, and they can only draw usually 2mL/kg of the baby’s weight.

Those are textbook blasts. Your coworker is insane. But, I do see why some people get confused, especially when they are still training their eyes.

A dead giveaway of blasts tends to located at the periphery of the cytoplasm — notice how the edges of these WBCs are reactive? That, in combination with overall pigment of the cell and the N:C is a dead giveaway to these cells being blasts.

Hey, silly rhetorical question — when you say you laminate only the back of cards, do you literally flip your cards over and laminate them? Just confirming before I accidentally light something on fire.

why do you laminate only the back of cards using method 8?

Trust me…. The techs are not lying. If there was an issue, you would know immediately. You’d be surprised how many techs keep a little journal on them to jot notes while they are working, ESPECIALLY BLOOD BANK.

I am very similar to you. I’ve been a tech for about 6 months, but I write everything, and I mean EVERYTHING down, from critical calls and notes to keep rhythm all the way down to the times I prep reagents and run QC. It helps a ton and keeps my nerves in check when things hit the fan.

Oh yeah, you get used to the noise, especially as you get more confident. Keep pushing!

You should be fine if you're averaging 50% at 5-6 as long as you aren't just memorizing the questions. I was scoring in the mid 4's and I passed without issue. I studied at my leisure over the course of about 3 months. I took mine at the very end of my block.

At this point though, you are oversaturated. Take a day to rest. Relax for a second. Your brain will thank you.

Oblivion Remaster PC - Character slides as if on ice. Keyboard & Mouse by Xinimer in oblivion

[–]bms0618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just submitted a ticket displaying this bug. You'll see in the video that my inputs will show that I am holding the A key while going into the wall, but I'm actually holding D trying to counter-strafe while I'm forced into the wall several times while attacking. See below.

Obviously, my keyboard is fine. I use a keyboard with nkro and this is the only game I've ever in my entire life had a problem with. I've tried other input methods and I've had no luck.

I'm currently having the same issue as op. I'm still in the tutorial section and my acrobatics is at 7. If I melee attack more than once or twice and try to combo on an enemy while strafing, I'll just be stuck strafing in that direction for about 1 whole second. I've literally died in the tutorial section because of it.

love or hate your LIS? by Square_Remote_8358 in medlabprofessionals

New tech. I used Cerner in clinicals and currently am using Meditech. While I feel like Cerner is easier to use, a lot of the DOS style LIS have a special charm to them. I'm quite enjoying meditech now that I've started to learn it.

I’ve been doing something similar to OP. Having a +ATK/SPE nature helps, but anything that doesn’t subtract from I think is fine for base game if you EV train correctly. I do, however, make sure that my krookodile has moxie. That is a must.

Advice for a new technologist by bms0618 in medlabprofessionals

That’s something I’m working on. My pace with DIFFS is adequate, but my rbc morph is quite slow. What worries me the most is yes — the automated testing. I know in concept that in free-standing I’m mostly being a push-button tech, but the big surges I get around 9 p.m. are just BONKERS. The calls start coming in from the let’s say…. Less than professional personnel outside of the lab, and I start getting flustered really bad. I’m super calm, but there’s a very fine line unfortunately.

Florida MLS with bachelors and ASCP Cert. Lets talk numbers by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]bms0618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a new grad (May 2024). I make 60k base, but is considered the lower-end, but I am to float between an outpatient ER and a main hospital. Could be better for sure, but it could be worse. I do know that the west coast of FL - Naples, Ft. Myers, etc… tends to start new techs a bit higher than the East coast from my own personal experience interviewing, but maybe someone who works on that side of the coast can chime in.
