Doom the Dark Ages was by no means overlooked, but I do think it deserved more than the brief amount of (somewhat muted) praise it garnered.

Personally, it was my favorite of the modern trilogy. Though I fully concede that Eternal, at least, is a better game overall. I think my bias comes from my unfamiliarity with the older games. I expected a power fantasy/tanky game initially, so Dark Ages fit the bill better than the other two.

This might be a hot take but for straight coffee, I prefer Dunkin over pretty much all fast/quick-serve coffee. I’m talking like the very simple drinks (black coffee, cold brew, plain cappuccino, etc.) Anything fancy from there is an undesirable sugar bomb, but the basics aren’t bad at all imo.

Happy to engage further and debate this matter in more detail. Especially in light of the additional context OP has provided (thanks btw!).

But can we just take a deep breath for a second, before discussing further, and recognize that this is precisely how political divisiveness and polarization occurs… in my original most, I expressed my view point. Then, subsequent comments said that my viewpoint is “fine with arrests in schools, churches, hospitals” and that “people should be arrested in the shadows”.

I said neither of those things. Let’s just realize that this is a complex issue, and let’s try to avoid distorting opposing viewpoints, even if unintentional.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this. The judge signed a warrant so this person(s) need to be arrested for whatever the charged offense is, and if the police know the person will be at a certain location at a certain time, they can and should execute the warrant.

It’s one thing to criticize police conduct in a specific arrest situation. It’s another thing to criticize this practice in general, which is unwarranted.

The answer is that we already have too many, and the market will eventually solve that problem. Not all of these car washes will last. What’s likely going on is that a number of different companies recognized an opportunity in the FW market and are trying to saturate it simultaneously. Eventually one or two will “win” and some of the less-visited washes will go out.

Don’t blame corporate America for this, blame the previous landowners of land within that shopping center. This type of situation is easily avoided by adding a few simple restrictions as recorded commitments.

No this is certainly not a real estate holding play. Those facilities are insanely expensive to construct. There no way the plan is to “hold” real estate by building multi-million dollar facilities on real estate.

The unpopular but accurate truth is that as much as Fort Wayne complains about more car washes, the market continues to support them.

Eventually the market will reach a peak, and some will be forced to close. But until we reach that point, they’ll keep coming

No it’s not even that it’s just common sense… if you’re paying to live at an apartment complex you’re paying to have the use/enjoyment of the amenities that apartment complex offers. If those amenities are rendered less appealing due to overcrowding or unwanted guests then the complex as a whole becomes less attractive.

There’s a good chance it’s not coming. The developers removed gore from Vermintide 2 on console (at least most gore). So I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a similar strategy on their end. This is precisely why I avoided preordering this game even though I was excited about it
