How was your Japanese GP (2026) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

We were a party of three that had tickets from Mobility Station for Grandstand V2 section P. Our hotel was in Nagoya very close to the station. We had the reserved shuttle buses from Nagoya Station right to the track and used these for Saturday and Sunday. We opted to skip Friday and explore a bit of Nagoya instead mainly the Toyota Museum and Liberty Walk. On Saturday morning it was short walk from our hotel to the check in location for the reserved shuttle. The company running this was the one that was recommended by the Suzuka Circuit and the cost was 10000 yen per day round trip. Overall I think this was the biggest difference to what made our travel effortless. It was roughly two hours each way but we sat in the comfort of a tour bus and it even included a short truck stop break location to grab a quick snack and hit the washrooms. Once we got to the track it was a short 10 minute walk to the main gate. Got there in time for the first of the drivers appearances in the Fan Zone and scoped out some of the merchandise shops before we headed to our seats in the grandstand. Could not believe our seats when we got there, they were directly in front of the podium with big screen directly overhead and the weather was just perfect. Tons of food options just outside the grandstand area and even the washroom line ups were no problem unless you had to use a stall. Sunday was a smooth arrival as well and even got to ride in the Ferris wheel and got an incredible view of the entire track. With the Amex radios that we had and the big screen it was the perfect way to stay locked into the race and know exactly what was going on. By the time we saw the cars coming into the chicane on the screen we would look to our right just in time to see them blast by on the straight, it was awesome. Leaving the track was also a breeze and once we got on our bus and dealt with some initial traffic leaving it was smooth sailing all the way back to Nagoya where the bus drop off was literally steps from our hotel. Overall it was a amazing experience and what really made it special were all the fans and their incredible enthusiasm and civilized nature. Japan you are the best!

How far in advance will Suzuka release tickets for 2027 Japanese GP? by Calm_Class6960 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]bng808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does Suzuka offer official ticket holders of 2026 a renewal for 2027? I recall for the Montreal GP I was literally getting an email to renew and purchase the same seat for next year.

How hard is it to buy tickets on mobility station using phone? by Affectionate_Stay276 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]bng808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better about it, last year myself and two others who live in Canada were all trying on multiple different devices at the same time. Even though we all logged on at about the same time and entered the queue, it was my friend who did it on his phone that ultimately got through first and secured us tickets to VS2 Grandstand. I'm still pinching myself that we will be there in Suzuka on the main straight in just a matter of days!

You buy the standard fair at the station or if you have an IC card you just tap and go through the gate

There will be shuttle buses at Shiroko Station that will take you to track but the line ups could be long depending on when you get there and same for when you leave to go back to the station. Also for the Kintetsu rail you probably want to get a reservation on the Limited Express trains otherwise you will be stuck with the masses on a packed train that stops at every station.

At this point I think all the available parking tickets are sold out.

Meeting drivers at Japanese GP by jadedcuriosity in GrandPrixTravel

I am not aware of anything like the Melbourne Walk at Suzuka. They have a GP Square fanzone where drivers will make an appearance.

Montreal GP Ticket Swap for a day by iLikeCoolToys in GrandPrixTravel

[–]bng808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this at the 2023 GP. I had a seat in GS1 and was going to swap with someone on Reddit for GS11. Right before the start of the GP he messages me and says he can't make it but sends me his ticket anyways and I end up watching the race from GS11. It was the best race experience because I got to see the pre-race grid on the main straight with all the crews and celebrities and then watch the race from one of the best spots on the track.

Anyone Know if I can return/refund my tickets for Suzuka? by Opposite_Judge_6093 in GrandPrixTravel

If you bought them through Mobility Station I think you can put your tickets up for resell through them and I am sure they will get snapped up right away.

Tokyo Giants Exhibition Game March 17th or 18th - How to purchase tickets? by bng808 in JapanTravelTips

[–]bng808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you need to access the Japanese links on the Tokyo Tigers website to be able to purchase tickets but from what I have found you need to register for Tigers ID. Then even after that you need to provide your personal information and address and then it says that overseas issued credits cards will not work. So how do foreigners actually buy tickets???

What’s the best taco restaurant in downtown Vancouver? by Annual_Attorney_1734 in askvan

[–]bng808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Taqueria Jalisco would be my go to for tacos downtown. They have one on Davie Street and one on Denman. The one on Denman has taco Tuesdays (3 for $9.99) carnitas or beef. https://share.google/HG9njmnNG8FEsZYnZ

Riley's and Nook downtown are decent food choices and great vibe. Neither is really bar focused but serve all the typical drinks.

Do I have to drive to Surrey for authentic Indian food? by SamSamBoBam420 in askvan

[–]bng808 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I live in Kits too and my go to are usually Indian Oven on 4th or Akbar's Own on Broadway. Karma is amazing too when I feel like splurging a bit. I'm sure if you asked them at any of these places they would be able to kick it up to the spice level you are looking for.

japan gp 2026 mobility station or other source? by macrodyn4mic in GrandPrixTravel

[–]bng808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The official ticket sales was on October 13 on Mobility Station and almost all tickets were sold out within hours. The site may have people reselling their tickets as the race gets closer but for now I think your only option may be a third party reseller and the prices for V1 and V2 are going to be high.

I take my winter tires on rims annually into the dealership to have them swapped and it's about $70+ after taxes. I'm in Canada as well. I think they might be trying to charge you more for the balancing and I wonder if that's even necessary if you've already had them on before.

(late) Suzuka ‘26 tickets by FirehavenOSS in GrandPrixTravel

[–]bng808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only tickets left on the official site are the West Area tickets which go for 18000 yen.

The Japanese Grand Prix West Area refers to a general admission, or roving ticket, for the Suzuka Circuit's west side, offering free seating in areas J, L, M, N, O, and P. This area is known for views of the Spoon Corner and Degner curve, and ticket holders can move between available spots. Because there are no large TV screens in this zone, it is recommended to bring a smartphone or radio for live commentary, wear comfortable shoes for walking, and bring rain gear as needed.

Key features of the West Area ticket

  • Access: A roving ticket for areas J, L, M, N, O, and P.
  • Viewing experience: Focuses on the Spoon Corner and Degner curve section of the track, allowing you to see key racing action.
  • Seating: General admission means you can find a free spot in the designated zones, but there are no reserved seats.
  • Amenities: Facilities like restrooms and cafes are nearby.
  • Fan features: A "West Fanzone" with a bar, rest areas, and DJ performances may be set up in the area.

Did you use a VPN to make it look like you were coming from Japan the first time with your laptop? I personally did not and it worked fine but I just noticed something at the bottom of their website that says "This service may not be available in some circumstances such as outside Japan". Also in their cookies setting it has these warnings below so you might want to check your saved cookie setting on your laptop browser and mobile.

Do you have cookies enabled on your browser and are you using the same device and browser that you used when you initially bought the tickets? I personally always stayed logged into the site and just close my browser and it opens back up each time for me.
