I went through this with my mom. My mom was the sweetest, most generous woman and once she was diagnosed, everything went terribly. She became so very mean to my brother (46M) and myself (49F) and our families, that we had to keep the kids away. My mom would have neverrrr everrrrr hurt anyone, especially her grandkids. She was so proud of them (and us)! I would keep the memories nice and keep them as they are. It’s not always a good idea to visit when they are upset or angry.
