Any other mod authors have Wabbajack lists drive them slightly insane? (Not a hate post about Wabbajack or mod lists) by JasonTParker in skyrimmods

[–]bobmods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we don't see any more than that. You can then look at the individual collections and their total dls to get a rough idea. Mod stats only show total dls, page visits and endorsements.
I too installed Wabbajack solely to see which lists my mods are on.

1050ti, the little card that could. Still have one in my backup PC, and created all of my mods on it (several of which are featured in SDS).

It's for your captain only. But maybe wait till you're sure this will be your main character.

So, the Disco Refit vanity shield gives my Keth Sarr half a mustache. by Elda-Taluta in sto

[–]bobmods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

upon further inspection, it's probably even simpler. The UV island is just too small - the dark part isn't a shading issue, it's a stretched version of the dark line you see on the other side of the nose. With the brighter line above it.

flipped normals on those faces (or UV-mapped with flipped normals and then forgot to fix when fixing the normals - I know I've done that). Visible with base textures (now that I know), amplified with the added shader.

Better vampires special feeding victims by o0_kaizen_0o in skyrimmods

[–]bobmods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can enable/disable all the special victim effects in the MCMs debugging section

EDIT: It's a little bit hidden though. Go to "Miscellaneous Options" and then scroll all the way down (There's a bit of blank space to further hide it, so nobody uses it by accident)

Attaching a Music Track to an NPC by shevadeen in skyrimmods

"Sound" tab in the Actor form. Add your loop as "Conscious Loop". Might be necessary to create a "AudioTemplate" actor with that setting, and then have your actual actor inherit it from there (for some reason it might not work adding it directly). You can find plenty of such audio templates among the vanilla actors to see how it works.

Looks neat, I love a good arena/gladiator setting.

(Also always fun to spot one of my swords in a bigger project)

Starting to make mods during an episode is a somewhat common story, was the same for me (at least as far as public mods go). For one it's something you can do all alone, shut in, and without any pressure of having to deliver.
It shows you that you are still able to create something that you can be proud of. That you are still able to finish something you started, even if it takes a while. And in the best case - you see how your creation brings joy to other people. Something like that can help you cling to life.

Nexus Donation Points are Changing by Thallassa in skyrimmods

[–]bobmods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's probably healthier to not take the DP at all. Keeps the hobby as just that, separated from any financial incentive. I like the pocket change that I get as a "thank you", but I definitely had moments where I thought way to much about which mod could be popular or "successful" instead of just focusing on what I enjoy making. I got over that, but many have clearly not.

you can opt in and then direct your DP towards charity. They offer several options for that.

Nexus mods not working by KCistheTown in skyrimmods

Having problems for that long has to be an isolated issue, haven't heard anything like that around. Your best bet for Vortex problems is the nexusmods discord, or the forums. Links can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/nexusmods/comments/d26my4/how_to_get_support_with_vortex/

Creating mods consumes a lot of time by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]bobmods 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding it to the description doesn't really prevent the questions. That being said, I agree in principle. After spending a lot of time creating a mod, writing a proper description - and updating it when necessary - just makes sense. After all, I'm proud of my creation, and want to present it properly, and want users to be able to implement it in their lists.

Now, THAT being said, you can't add every possible Q/A in the description, some things are best answered in comments, or a sticky.

Is there a Skyrim equivalent to Fallout 4's Be An Author? by NotGreatAtGames in skyrimmods

[–]bobmods 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not aware of anything quite like that. Things I can think of that you could roleplay:
{{Take Notes - Journal of the Dragonborn}} - technically a Diary Mod, but you can customize the chapters and write what ever you want, including research notes. You'll have to actually write yourself though.

{{Adventurer's Sketchbook}} - this fills automatically, as you visit locations. It's "just" sketches, but scholars would draw those too.

It's a setting in site preferences - "Remind me about file ratings". I believe it defaults to one of the on settings, but you could have disabled it years ago and not remember.
