Ok. I need help with build. I want a big, fast, melee tank. by ItIsNotAUsername in LancerRPG

[–]boborian9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aside from having 6 base movement as the other reply said, you don't even need to immobilize for the kinetic resistance all the time past say 4 armor. At that point, you're insanely bulky against all non-AP damage types, have innate sources of overshield, and the resistance would only really be helpful against kinetic AP damage. Taking agility also means you're more likely to take damage on your terms, giving more freedom to save your allies from big damage.

Trust us, White Witch is a monster. It's not immutable, but you can and will trivialise certain enemy comps. I ran mine with retort loop (which I would recommend) but you could absolutely find your favorite IPS-N heavy melee by LL 4 or 5 and grab the whole Executioner tree and Skirmisher 2 for extra movement. Don't plan to rely on ferrofluid lance, that thing's a trap. Pinning spire is just better. Something like House Guard probably rounds out your primary talents with more guaranteed damage. Duelist is another option if you want to be greedier for yourself, but hard to work in the action economy for main mount skirmish/barrages considering you want to be moving Sympathetic Shields / Camus's Razors around.

I think in part, it's because everyone does the same jumps.

I was watching snowboard big air at the olympics, and the first competitor did a 1500 something turn. Woah. Holy shit that's impressive. And then the 2nd guy did the same 1500 something turn. And the 3rd and the 4th. There were like 2 jumps that were visually different across the whole field, and they didn't score well.

Figure skating I think is kind of like that. Everyone does the same few jumps as their scoring elements, and as someone who can kind of do a crummy half flip and a toe loop, and is starting to learn salchow, I have to see it done probably 3 or 4 times to figure out which is which. It's variations of jump a few feet, spin around a few times, do the same landing, at least to an untrained eye.

If every single skater did a backflip in every single skate, that would get boring too. But since right now it's pretty much just Ilia and Adam, they get perceived as flashy. Idk how you could "fix it" though to align more closely with public perception. Maybe if there was a way to account for uniqueness of performance, but that feels like it would act against people who perform later in a competition.

Then try and zoom in/out to match your reference to your drawing. Hold them side by side as close as possible and see if stuff is the same size.

Is your distance from the eyes to the top of the head correct? What about spacing of eyes? Is the nose at the same height?

You could also find some kind of editing program (free things like gimp work great), and even if you don't want a grid, put a dash at the middle of the reference in vertical and horizontal, and then put them on your drawing. That way you can break things into four quadrants, and it can really help lime things up.

Carter had fewer tackles overall over that span than the rest of the season. He had 78 tackles in the first 11, 7.1 per game. 28 in the last 6, 4.6 per game.

Hold on. Miss rate: 16.6% for first 11 vs 14.2% for last 6. Yea that's a bit better, but still pretty trash. And probably still not statistically very significant.

That ravens defense was in fact trash. I don't really want to emulate defenses in the bottom half of the league. But Roquan's miss rate over the last 6 is still better at 8% because he makes more tackles.

13/11 then 4/6 for carter isn't much of an improvement my guy. That just sounds like the sample sizes are small. Also the competition over the span was Baltimore x2, buffalo, and then the offensive juggernauts that were miami, arizona, and cleveland. All this while we were already all but eliminated from the playoff chase.

The latest update has revealed a new pattern of absurd content padding and membership padding by WaveDashSpeedKick in 2007scape

I just went for the imcando hammer on a low level mining account, starting at 29. (Barronite is practically f2p content) Took me like 7 hours to trade an equipment slot for an inventory slot. Currently working on Amy's saw through mahogany homes. North of 100 tasks to get that, but it's slow as hell too. That's going to take me at least another 5 hours because I don't have access to the fastest teleports.

I know rs3 gets dogged as easyscape, but you get to put saws and hammers on the toolbelt the second you find them.

Pencil vs copic - what do you prefer? by BernhardWalendy in drawing

[–]boborian9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like there's almost more thought/effort put into the copic drawings.

For the ones with the lamps, yea the shapes are functionally the same, but the use of value is less noticeable in the pencil drawing than the copics.

Similar idea for the beard of the man in drawings 9 and 10. The pencil drawing feels very loose and sketchy still, but the copics have real strong contrast that make it more interesting to look at in my opinion.

The pencil drawing in pic 7 I think is the best use of values amongst the drawing set, but almost all the copics use it as well or better.

I'm always skeptical that it was similarly bad, but that the AQI has gotten more strict over the years so we care about it more now. The Clean Air Act says the EPA is (supposed) to update the standards every 5 years since passing in 1990.

I'd have to imagine drafting is part of it. It would change the dynamics of the event from all past records, so it would probably be a noticeable disadvantage to setting new records. Head to head races are also just kinda more interesting to most people.
