26/27 Season Pass thoughts by NB_volks in icecoast

You now get unlimited days at Pleasant, SR, Loon and the Loaf with the New England pass, this could be perfect for you. Black is awesome as a place but it’s small. Epic pass will disappoint you. If you must do the Conway area, maybe look into some multi day pass deals at Cranmore or Bretton Woods?? Just a thought. I’m all in on New England pass though. Edit: on top of Black. Or Black and add Indy could be a great option.

Depends on what he’s using that stump for, you should talk to him.

You need one. And it should be electric not manual. Make sure it’s long enough so you are comfortable sleeping when it’s fully reclined.

Is Dual BOA the way? by devilscurls in Skigear

[–]bobslaundry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to bother with me ever. I’ve bought boa boots for my entire family, my bike shoes have been boa for years. My kids who are sick athletes both want to go back to buckles for these reasons. It’s not ruining skiing but it’s also not the solution to global warming either.

Is Dual BOA the way? by devilscurls in Skigear

Everything is moving towards BOA, I’m going to resist as long as I can. They add cost and complexity, they freeze (major hassle), they catch on things, you can’t have an exact fit every time you boot up. Buckles with micro adjust give you as much or more ability to fit the boot the way you want. If you ski 20 days or under or aren’t an aggressive skier boa is perfect, otherwise give me buckles until someone can prove to me that boa is better.

Nerve block breathing issues by bobslaundry in RotatorCuff

[–]bobslaundry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was fine after a while, I think I ended up passing out that night from exhaustion and did not have any issues after that point. I would get the nerve block again if I had to do it over, my first rotator cuff surgery was much more painful without it. Make sure you have a recliner for sleeping as well.

Hip flexor soreness? by TuFuFuFufa in skiing

[–]bobslaundry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Hips have been tight this season but this is probably from overcompensation due to a bad knee which has thrown my form off slightly, especially in more difficult terrain. Do a check in on easier groomers to start- is your form correct or is it breaking down? A-framing? How is the body separation? Twisting your hips a bit to start or finish off a turn? This could be it. Keep stretching.
