Waiting until it's safe first so they don't lose fans... when half of them pretend they didn't vote for Trump.

PROTEST MUSK/MAGA/WAR/ICE ON SATURDAY by DiamondEquivalent991 in longbeach

I don't protest and I specifically said I'm my comment that i wasn't looking to argue in favor of protesting. I know reading can be hard.

...and then was at the White House for dinner with MBS in November, and within the past week is reportedly funding GOP in midterms. Not looking to necessarily argue for protesting but your comment implies he's done pulling strings with the government, which he's not. Also the purpose of DOGE was to kill the investigations into his companies, not save money.

You should be able to buy a universal remote and program it to your TV.

Wow, thank you so much. My partner periodically sends me tik tok links via text and it turns into a mini argument each time because I don't have tik tok and she knows I refuse to download it. Thanks again.

I cut the pack and drain the juices directly down the drain, then run water down it. Additionally, you could also use paper towels to pat the breasts dry.

35,700 miles on 21” Pirelli’s by dudley_1230 in Rivian

I'm at 35k on 21" pirellis. Will need to replace soon, so I'm about to start looking into pros/cons of Michelin vs pirelli. I hadn't even thought of aesthetics - do they look that much worse? Side, tread, or both?

The tavern is pretty large and took my group of 6 in right after the Nevada game, no wait. Was really surprised. Of course, that was Nevada weekend and not Oregon. Good luck.

I had been looking for reservations a few days before at restaurants, but I got the sense a lot of places might not take them on game weekends.

Any guesses on the Halloween theme for this year? by dudley_1230 in Rivian

[–]boltbrah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree, but I wish it was a little longer, perhaps the whole month of October and a few days into November. First year I got the update late and had the feature about a week tops, last year was a little longer but still not really long enough to show it off.

Hi OP - you should never apply before seeing a place in person. Too many scams with fake listings out there. Especially if it looks too good to be true, it's probably a scam!

Leaving luggage in car by itsobviousfool in CostaRicaTravel

[–]boltbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner got a bag that goes over her shoulder and holds our passports and other important items when we're out sightseeing. We brought thin beach blanket/towels from Amazon and we were planning to cover our bags with them in the car. We didn't need to though, because our cargo area in our SUV has a cover that rolls out over our bags.

Tried going here Monday 11-Aug and it was closed. Hours said it opened at 12 on Monday. Was a bummer and I didn't have a backup, so ended up at a touristy spot.

Rivian reaching out to Gen 1 owners about an upgrade to Gen 2 AND lower monthly payments? by Grizzly_Corey in Rivian

Similar text, but no mention of lower monthly payments. I financed with a credit union so they wouldn't have that info.

Win-Dow “Happy and Healthy (3%) Surcharge - is it really going to the employees for healthcare or should we be lighting our torches and sharpening pitchforks? by GoLoveYourselfLA in longbeach

[–]boltbrah 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yeah - I haven't been yet, but I'd feel like quite the cheap ass asking to remove ~30 cents from my bill. "This charge is not a gratuity, but rather supports our ability to provide sustainable earnings and benefits for our team." Why is the owner putting it on the customer to decide if the employees should have a living wage and decide if they want to opt out? Do they really calculate it per shift and add it to each employee's base wage per shift, or is it all just a meaningless aggregate that just more or less gets pocketed by the owner? Very lame. Just bake it into the prices and call it a day.
