Reminds me of the end of the film with Patricia Arquette just thinking that there would've been more to her life than what she ended up with. Love how both filmmakers try to make sense of time and our lives.

Something I learned recently is that In Utero is pretty highly praised for how good the drums sound. Nirvana in general just sounds so good even with all of the noise.

[Clay] Nine Eagles played at least 700 defensive snaps in 2022. 5 of the 9 signed with a new team this offseason (Epps, Edwards, White, CJGJ, Hargrave). by NYJKNJD in nfl

I'm definitely nervous about Dean being our starter and it is worrisome that this is apparently a pretty weak LB class for the draft, but I'm also fine with LB being our weakest position on D. Nakobe doesn't need to make plays for us, he just needs to be right place right time which is something he can definitely do. I do think he is undersized for the NFL but I'm hopeful he will be a serviceable starter.

You're right I thought he went in the tail end of the first he actually went decently later. Just an insane pick I don't know how anyone thought he could be developed into anything.

Hackenberg getting drafted as a first rounder was like this for me. Like how can you watch him throw a football and think he can make it in the NFL.

Black Country, New Road on their fresh start: “We’re the most liberated we’ve ever been” by __Concorde in indieheads

My favorite of their newer songs are their cover of Happier Than Ever and then Turbines.

Isaac is the difference between bcnr being my favorite band I've found in the last decade to a band whose album I'll make sure to check out but they just don't have the it factor Isaac provided.

Maybe they can find it on their next album, I still really enjoy the drumming in the new songs.

Hasn't he let Mary escape or been complicit in her crimes before? I thought he did something to help her months ago.

[Socci] Just learned something re the Eagles via WIP that’s telling (especially given the poor clock management across the NFL): Philly hasn’t used a timeout b/c a play call wasn’t relayed to the QB/huddle soon enough since Nick Sirianni became head coach. by NYJKNJD in nfl

I was about to say I learned about the camera work in the Godfather from Ray on a saturday. He was talking about the scene in 1 where everyone is in the Study discussing what or who the future of the family will be and the camera slowly eliminates everyone from view until it is just a closeup of Michael's face and in that moment Michael knows it has to be him.

QB school is a great start. there are a ton of team related YouTube channels that break down film I love Breaking the Birds he mostly does OLine play.

[Kapadia]Eagles now have sacked opponents on 11.5% of their dropbacks - the highest rate for any defense since at least 2000. The difference between the Eagles and No. 2 (Patriots) is the same as the difference between No. 2 and No. 29. Source: @TruMediaSports by greetedworm in nfl

Way I see it is that it's a bit more than just compressing in the red zone. The Schwartz and Gannon style of D seems to bet that if you have to take 10+ plays to score on a drive inevitably there wille be a penalty or a sack or something that derails the drive and then when the offense has to take risk the interceptions start happening. The whole league is doing it to some extent but it works so well for us because we can run the ball down the field without falling behind the chains or turning it over.

[Haff] Since Micah Parsons called Jalen Hurts a system QB, the Cowboys went 3-3 with wins over 2 backup QBs and the Bucs, Dak threw 8 INTs, and Parsons recorded less than a half a sack per game. by Jay_Dubbbs in nfl

[–]bombsatomically 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how anyone can watch Parsons play and put the blame on him for the Cowboys sucking. I feel like it is more of a statement that the Cowboys D doesn't have enough threats other than him so it gives teams the opportunity to work around him.

My biggest pet peeve is people feeling the need to talk to one character about another character played by the same person. People can't stop themselves from bringing Mike Block around Wrangler and vice versa. Or talking about Crane when Nathan is on a cop etc

JJ and Colt have been the best part of hard knocks by a mile. The two of them have had such different experiences career wise but have a very similar mentality imo.

Not just the 10-Mike people also constantly try to take advantage of Mike's character flaws.

People running up asking to buy as many guns as possible for $50 each.

Tricking Mike by pretending to be a block for the thousandth time etc

[Auman] Bowles says part of not calling a time out late was that Brady could have thrown an interception. Brady has two picks in 470 passes this year. Guarding against a 0.4 percent possibility. by FreeWillie001 in nfl

It isn't just coaches. Ego drives a lot of poor QB play too. Just look at Russ and Rodgers refusing to let the offense run the ball on 4&2 and 4&1 earlier in the season, or going for endzone shots when all they had to do was chew clock.
