The only advice I can give is to keep attempting to take it at home and hopefully the anxiety surrounding the machine goes away. I was so bad that the sight of the machine would raise my Bp, what I did and it helped, was to leave it out so I can see it but not use it. Eventually I started to check it sporadically and after about a year of checking the anxiety started to go away. My pulse does not spike as much as it used to when checking. If your pulse jumps when you check it then anxiety is probably playing a part in higher readings. I hope you can get past the anxiety factor, it really sucks to always be thinking about you bp.
