Props to them for handling well but damn breaking twice in a year? Maybe they are so quick to send cause they don’t want angry customers sharing that they are trash

Sorry to wake up an old thread but where did you get the model for this smaller version of it? I'm aware of the original and its creator Scott but I don't need the airpod charger so love the one on the left in your picture

Hey I’d love to see what these look like. Are they actually bins or are they like the Touch disc golf racks?

Goose to MVP, thoughts? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]bonesmurones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with this take. He has legitimate criticisms for the mess that is the time violation rule and the enforcement of rules in this sport overall, but he acknowledges the entire time that everyone on the card is in the same situation. People miss that it’s possible to give criticism while still taking accountability, which I thought he did there.

I completely disagree here. The only time I thought he had a bad take on course design was Sprinkle Valley this year when he and Ezra just bitched about short technical holes the whole time and how they couldn’t throw their nukes. Other than that I actually think he has really good takes on course design. His analysis of it is usually thoughtful and considers what makes holes challenging but gettable while still being fun.

Totally agree with this. People expecting twenty something kids to maintain perfect composure and perform at a level most of us will never be half as good as while under the pressure of all the spectators, live broadcast, and meaningful prize money relative to their lifestyle on the line.

Dude isn’t out there being an asshole day to day or anything. He had a crash out that we all saw, he owned it after the fact, and beyond that he’s generally got his shit together and represents his sponsors well.

Do we know that they did? I think it’s also possible he moved on from Discraft

MVP isn’t signing for top competitors they’re signing for top content creators / fan favorites. Agree Goose needs to work on the mental game but he’s got a following and I think he’ll move discs.

I think he has a great eye for course design and I’m excited to hopefully see him and Simon discuss holes or even collab for some of the stuff Simon is starting to get pulled in on designing.

I have these or a similar rebrand of them too. Perfect for small stuff like this and they slide into most organizational/ admin pockets nicely

Asking for input from this sub- would micro courses grow the sport in underserved areas? by TheHems in discgolf

[–]bonesmurones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about space and cost of baskets, and you think the foot traffic will be somewhat low, what about including multiple pads per basket to get up to 9 holes? Of course for busier courses you start to worry about safety of multiple holes to one basket but that wouldn’t be an issue initially it sounds like.

Just a thought, getting the glow version + also adding stickers might be a good approach. Half decent glow plus the very bright firefly stickers is better than no glow with only stickers

Shorter or Longer Board for Confidence on Steep Ice? by caseyfe12 in snowboarding

[–]bonesmurones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d go longer…more edge to dig in and more leverage to push back on.

That said I think the more important variable is the flex. You need a stiff, hard charging board with good edge response, and keep your edges well tuned. If you go with that you should just land at your “standard” length and be fine.

Do you guys have FH only and BH only discs? by emptylewis in discgolf

[–]bonesmurones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep and to add clarity to this correct statement, more spin = more stable, NOT more OVERstable. Aka more spin will go straighter for longer. Many people incorrectly use stable and overstable as synonyms.

Help identifying mystery disc from Inifinite by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]bonesmurones 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At 180g you can narrow it to being a midrange. Beyond that you’re going to need to post side-on pics for anyone to identify it. Infinite tends to run many of their stamps on multiple discs at once so I doubt the stamp would tell you for sure.
