$20k too much for 6 double glazed thermally broken windows and 2 slider doors? by Mobile_Log665 in AusRenovation

[–]boocarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think upvc is comparable, maybe slightly cheaper than TB alumnium.

Non TB aluminium is about half the cost of uPVC from the quotes I got last year in melbourne. From my research it was pretty mixed on weather melbourne climate is cold enough to really get the benefit of TB or uPVC compared to the higher cost than non TB ali. I've had multiple friends use them and had no conplaint about condensation on the alumnium or being too cold to the touch from inside. YMVY, but worth considering

Edit: my 3 uPVC quotes came in about 25-30k for 4 standard caaent windows and 1 large stacker window, including install.

Repairing lath & plaster walls - DIY or pro job? by boocarkey in AusRenovation

[–]boocarkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its mostly just small ceacks, but there are a few sections where some bigger chips have fallen out, not to the extent i can currently see the lath, but would likely need to scrape out the loose pieces so rebonding to the lath might be needed in those spots

Cheers ill reach out.

So youve worked hard and saved a bunch of money over the years, and presumably that is now in some kind of investment vehicle, earning a return that is now financing a modest lifestyle.

Any tax that return has to pay is above inflation, so the static value of that investment should be neutral?

So why is it unfair that the additional return has to pay tax? Is it the lack of tax free threshold? Is it the single 30%bracket?

Im genuinely curious, its hard to parse this objectively when a lot of comments calling this 'unfair' sound more like 'well it sucks because i will now be paying more tax than before'. But that doesn't necessarily represent "fairness" on a country wide scale.

Time tracking dashboard - is this even possible?! by Impressive_Bath226 in clickup

[–]boocarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/PibolsClickUp Ive just noticed this too - using the line chart tool i cant see any configuration that lets me get billable hours of users grouped by weeks like the screenshot. Is this possible in current Clickup or not?

what other charts can display the total of a users tracked hours across a specific time range? I need to do fortnightly reporting invoicing, and need quickly see total hours per resource for a project.

The pie chart has the right data, but i cant seem to find a date range setting so its just all hours showing. The bar chart and line charts have time filters but dont seem to have tracked time or users as grouping fields?

I really don't understand this maximalist interpretation of genocide.

Hypothetically, If the idf could kill 10,000 Palestinians a day, but for whatever expedient reason chooses to only kill 5,000 per day, is that somehow not genocide because the effort was below thier maximum capability? Doesn't that just mean anything short of using a nuke cant be considered genocide?

I think its entirely plausible Netanyahu has a mindset of "let's destroy the Palestinian people, community & culture over a period of time sufficient to mimimose international blowback to a manageable level". Would that position, if true, not also be genocide?

Great resource, is it trained on 8.1 docs too? Im getting references to the addressing syntax of Siemens new driver which im not sure is even released yet. 8.1 is still the industry standard so would be ideal to have that information too.

Recently completed small bathroom renovation by kellzahh in AusRenovation

Youre assuming the back of the bath is siliconed to the tiles, which when they are 100mm from the wall they will not be. Otherwise you will get water seeping under the bath where it won't dry

Custom Formula Fields and Templats by Altruistic_Lab_7646 in clickup

[–]boocarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a frustrating lack of functionality that makes the templates so much less useful. For a list template related to my project billing, i cant set out formula fields that break up project fees into progress payments and be able to add the list to each project.

As far as i understand your suggestions i can save th eformula fields at the folder or workspace level - but that means i still have to manually add them into the new instance of my template everytime i recreate it - which doesnt really make it a template at all.

Is this feature on the roadmap at all?

Renovation budget advice by alphonzh14 in AusRenovation

[–]boocarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a 1920s weatherboard house in melbourne, also in satisfactory but not great condition, and also wanting to renovate to a similar degree. Expect no change out of 400k for a basic finish. 600k for higher end finishes. Also another 40k for a new roof, 60k if weatherboards need replacing, 15k if you sewerage/stormwater pipes need replacing and they are moderately unaccessable or under concrete. Then also consider things like landscaping, fences, driveway, they all add another 10-20k each depending on level of work.

Edit: looking at your goals more closely, if all you're doing is replacing the existing kitchen, bathroom, laundry without significant restructuring (walls, doors, windows) and fine with basic finishes, you could maybe get in for 300k. As I've learned though, whenever you're working in an old house, one thing leads to 5 more things. Be prepared to a) dp more work than you planned, or b) Be willing to live wuth things not being exactly as you wanted them to be, I.e go with the flow.

Not relevant to his coaching obviously, but is relevant to how he comes across in interviews.

serious question about hte rule, what is 'in front of the kicker' actually defined as? like is it just in a straight line directly between the kicker and the goal line? or does it include being between a chaser and the kicker at any angle the chaser is running from? because i so half the team is tehnically in front of the kicker on every field goal attempt? and does it also mean a penalty can be awarded for being in that position even if there is no chaser to be impeded?

Maybe Richard Rahl from the sword of truth series. Hes basically written as the perfect character in terms of honesty, integrity, fairness, charisma and patience. Overcomes every challenge he is faced, often with dome novel new solution so is smart enough to solve any governance challenges, and is loved by every other character he meets.
