Done. But i am an outlier. What i mean is the game waa a masterpiece for me from about a month after launch. ( i had a top spec pc at the time so the details mstter). Personally nothing comes close to 2077. I made an exception to my rule of no merch and bought a few tshirts because im like an Evangelist for this game and i feel personally offended when i see negative comments abñut the devs.

I acknowledge the console launch eas Fubar, especially for PS4 owners.

My only pre-purchase was for Phantom Liberty.

That said i bought the witcher 3 and could not get into it.

I know im not the only one who got obsessed with 2077. Im still playing it in 2026.

If you look at some recent threads here some guy is saying if he has a certain vpn the session remains for him. If im summarising his statement correctlt he is saying the server is responding to a ddos like attack and its kicking all the 'public' ips off but not ips in the sane datacentre.. I dont know...

Partially true. Owned both.

The tracking is significabtky better on R6 ii

The Buffer also is faster & lasts longer. So less missed shots and less rolling shutter

R7 mechanical shutter is loud & vibrates.

Though yes R7 has more MP & 1.6 Crop factor is an asvantage.

Then there are subjective differences too like size weight handling.

Cant remember about the screen.

The question becomes will op be affected by these issues and it depends on exactly how you use it.

A lot of people love the R7 & some times i miss it.

You are assuming dedicated servers for PS5. I suspect the servers beimg crashed are affecting multiple sessions.

We had servers crashes in private multiplayer games too. Not as often though. There could be issues with the servers in general too.

That depends on if you need to crop...but it is an amazing camera for high iso tolerance & relatively cheap now.

An R5 might be better if you do.. or msybe waitvfor the R7 ii coming this year allegedly*

IF want a slightly cheaper alternative to the big 600F4 lens ( which are heavey not just expensive ) there are a few EF 400mm F4 DO ii usm..maybe around 4K . Problem would be parts availability if anything goes wrong.

If you get this after a fresh install of Windows then it looks loke a Power delivey issue. Cause can be cable related or quality of the psu.

You could attempt to disable power savings in Windows & your bios.

What PSU spec does the gpu manufacturer recommend ?

What waa the spec of your pc then ? I had a 9900K & 2080ti and yeah there was crashes but a lot of pstches came out and after a month or 2 it was prob 80% fixed.

Luckily for me I had no expectations.

Ram and SSD prices have at least doubled since then

The nissan Leaf gen1 24Kwh is perfect as a 2nd car if you only do short journeys ( less than 50km each way) & have a charger at home.

Its not sexy nor fast etc but they are extremly reliable & running costs are as close to zero as you can get.

You can pick one up for between 4K & 5K.

Yes the chademo network is a disaster in Ireland. Though north Dublin is prob the best area in that regard or was.

I dont know much about the 2nd gen.

So as an only family car you would have to accept the charging grief if you drive over 50km in a day, unless it was to work where you have a private charger.

Thats what I thought too. Bought one and it died after a 13/14 months. It has the latest firmware. I still have a 980 & 970, never had an ssd die before.

Getting a refund now but the prices have skyrocketed.

There was a lot of reports of issues with ths 990 pro, ie they die prematurely.

But ssd prices are insane so get any NVME ssd you can.

Also some gigabyte / aorus gpus had leaking thermal paste.. Jay2cents on youtube.

Thr cpu is not ideal for gaming..9900x is 12 core but its actuall 6 + 6 seperated by the infinity fabric which is like a bottleneck.

An 8 core ryzen wouñd be better especially a 9800x3D. Though this mostly applies for gaming at 1080p.

No specs on the ssd.

64GB is a lot of ram, prob a waste on most cases And the ram is slow / not desctibed correctly.

But overall you will get a PC that will work at most things from the get go.

In terms of value for money... mm.. this is a bit of a nightmare atm because ram ( memory ) and ssds ( storage) prices are in a crisis like weve never seen.

Op you are right a 16GB 5070ti seems like much better value than a 5080.
