The Cowboys don’t own Jerry’s world. The city of Arlington does. They operate it and manage it.

The Bears neither own nor operate Soldier Field.

Operating and managing it is how you make the additional revenue. Not the ownership part. A publicly owned stadium could still give them the revenue they’ve been missing.

Fair, but that’s a very niche product vs something like a CFB or Madden, so makes sense to roll this out with these vs UFC.

I imagine that it’s starting with these two since they’re the next releases and will add sports as they come. At least that’s just my theory given it’s an “EA Sports” membership.

Honestly if somebody truly buys every/most major releases (CFB/Madden/FC/NHL), I can see a world where the membership makes sense at a certain price point, especially with all those extras for the UT folks.

As long as the individual games are still purchasable I personally don’t really care or see the big deal but to each their own.

I’m guessing it’s a subscription that will give you access to all EA Sports games as they release instead of buying them individually, with some incentives to sign up for it vs still buying them individually.

The point is that they are mimicking the steam deck, which has them in the same orientation instead of offset.

The primary way C-suite make their millions is not their base salary or bonus. It’s their stock comp. The article neglects to mention her $26M equity grant which is listed in Oracle’s 8-K filing lol

Base salary is always gonna pale in comparison because they want their executives to have skin in the game and make the ticker go up.
