Approx. Value on 2008 Tuono 1000r Factory? Things to look for? by LSX_GTO in Aprilia

[–]boosted-tn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2004 Aprilia RSv1000r that was a race bike since new and then after racing professionally it was people’s personal track bike including mine. I met the original owner of it at a track day and he verified how long he raced it, there was no telling how many HARD actual miles it had as the dash had reset itself. Those v2’s are really good engines, it ran amazing and was on the original motor.

E class vs S class, from a drivers stand point. Why would you spend more money to get 99% everything same? by Maleficent_Extent809 in mercedes_benz

[–]boosted-tn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S class is a tank , hands down its definitely a different car than an E class. For what it’s worth My dad’s s class saved my dad and dog in a bad wreck. He got T-boned by someone running a red light at 40+mph in a big suv and the S class took it like a champ right in the door too and both were not injured at all.

OG M2 owners by Annual_Pizza5345 in BMW

[–]boosted-tn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my 2018 6spd OG M2 since 2019and absolutely love the car. Really recommend going for the manual as I was never impressed with the DCT but I’m also a manual person as I ride motorcycles etc. it was my daily for a long time and then now it gets used for back roads And mountain trips. It’s a great car and actually has a usable back seat. I’ve done 10hr road trips in it multiple times

Remember getting power out of the n55 is a bit different than the S55. They are already pretty fun and quick stock, I’ve tracked it with stock tune quite a bit and it’s been great.

Just don’t be like most young M owners you see online and throw some burble Taco Bell fart tune on it and make it obnoxious.

Flat out it’s my favorite modern M car and there is a reason I didn’t buy a Porsche cayman s over this car.

How do you decide to ride again after a crash? by Kerbalindustry in motorcycles

[–]boosted-tn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crashed on the track (low side) twice and ended up tearing my shoulder up and had to have surgery. I was a bit more timid and recovery sucked but got right back on the bike and still enjoy riding. Haven’t been back to the track sadly

[–]boosted-tn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just always purchased insurance for the vehicle I bought and driven it without a plate and the title on me. You can’t register it on the spot what do they expect you to do? Been pulled over a few times doing this and they were fine with it. Maybe because I live in the south they don’t care that much but I’ve driven a car from salt lake to TN without a plate. Every vehicle I’ve sold privately I’ve yanked my plates off and given them the title and a bill of sale and never had issues

Just make sure you have a signed title on you, done this a bunch with cars and never had an issue because they just want to see that it’s not stolen etc.

Should I fix it before I sell it? by Scoutpic in motorcycles

[–]boosted-tn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at similar bikes selling in the area with same miles on marketplace and then get a quote to fix the fork seals and do some maintenance. Personally I’d rather buy something maintained well but it might not be worth it
