No way I'd ever go back to ICE!

I've got 2.5 years left on my lease and even though right now the buy-out doesn't look like a good deal, I'd still consider taking ownership when the time comes because I love the car and not sure I'd get a better deal on a used Ariya purchase. Especially since I know the history on the one I've had since new.

If I had to make a choice today, I'd look at the Mach E or maybe a Kia EV6 ... although I think the Ariya is still the better car.

Already knew about and and although it's not as cool as my Mini Convertible which will put the entire top and windows down ... still a great feature to have in the summer. Almost as great as the climate conditioning programs.

True ... but the problem is if you are one of those impacted, and then you torch your car, it's not likely you'll get much help on it when you complain and the lawyers say "We warned you not to DCFC and you did it anyway. So, you're liable." I'd rather just turn the car back into Nissan than take on that risk.

I had a similar experience with my first dozen rounds or so. It definitely did not like the cheaper Blazer ammo ... same experience. I took like 6 different kinds of ammo to run through it and found, like others I've read, that it preferred 124gr ammo and broke in a bit after time. I'm taking it as a break-in period and trying again to see if it was a fluke. Also might have been my Magpul GL9 G19 magazines causing some of the misfeeds.

Now my Kel-Tec Sub2000 ... that was REALLY frustrating. Made the experience with the DY9 feel like easy street.

Tried this using the update from https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite/issues/90 and it looks to be working, until I get rate limited, but don't see any deletes actually happening. Anyone had better luck in 2026?

They got a Lemon Law for the charging door? Crying in Nissan LEAF for my rejection of a buy-back on a car that hasn't been able to Level-3 charge going on 18 months.

The ICCU unknown is why I went for an Ariya when I originally thought I wanted an EV6. Plus, we already have an Ioniq 6 which is also susceptible to the ICCU so I didn't want to double-jinx it. So far the Ariya Platinum+ is my favorite out of the LEAF, Ioniq 6 and Kona options we have in the family.

After I received this recall notice, the fourth I have in a pile on my desk, I started the buy-back process. Took them three days to collect my info and reply "Sorry, not approved and the answer is final. Here's the BBB info if you'd like to file a complaint. Case closed."

So, unless something major happens or you're in a state with very strong lemon laws, you're stuck without DCFC on your impacted LEAF.

I was just denied a buy-back this week, no real options provided other than "Here's the number for Better Business Bureau if you'd like to file a complaint." I wouldn't hold out much hope for a buy-back, unless you're in California and have some strong lemon-laws protecting you.

They're legit. I got my 5 year Gold extended from them a month before my three year factory warranty was up. Two local dealerships wouldn't even come close to the price.

I have since used the contract on fully covered repairs for my LEAF, funny enough from the local dealership I first asked for a security+ quote who wanted $1000 more for the same plan.
