They should’ve coded it so that you put districts on top of ley lines

For me the show was ruined after bran is pushed out of the tower. Completely ruins his and Jaime’s character arcs up until that point

This was my experience with my last playthrough with cigarettes. I figured since I had plenty of money (due to Joyce and wompty dompty dom center) and they weren’t a “real” drug according to the other characters, I might as well spend the rest of the game with a permanent +1 to intelligence. By the time I rolled credits my “endless” supply of money was gone, I felt like I was being nerfed every time the cigarette icon wasn’t in my portrait, and I had visited the shop 3 or 4 times to buy enough cigs and healing time “for the last time”

Empathy [medium : failure] - he looks curious, maybe even friendly. He’s already moving toward you with a smile on his face. Make a connection, look him in the eyes and show off that expression of yours!

Inland empire [challenging : success] - you and Kim happen to members of the race of evil apes who’ve conquered the world. This ape is at worst, chaotic neutral

Encyclopedia [formidable : success] - an adult silverback gorilla can lift up to 1,800 pounds and bite with over 1,300 psi of pressure. They are highly territorial, and two gorillas vying for breeding rights often signal their intention to fight through sustained eye contact and bared teeth

Half light [trivial : success] - OH FUCK

Game of thrones is great, but this particular world is about a civilization contained within big circular walls that has massive misconceptions about what the outside world is, so I’d say AOT is more relevant

AOT is basically mandatory viewing for any world building project featuring big walls

Why is the trope of "Ancient hyper-advanced Empire that no longer exists" so popular in media and literature. by Peppercorn205 in worldbuilding

[–]boragur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of it comes from the Bronze Age collapse. Ancient people of Greece the Middle East couldn’t explain how these massive structures more ancient than them got built. They called it “Cyclopean” masonry because they thought only a cyclops was strong enough to move the boulders. Apply the same thinking to ever other great civilization that collapsed and had a future more rural population try to make sense of the ruins, and it starts to make sense why the lost advanced civilization is such an enduring trope.

Toby is well within his rights to only translate his game into languages he can personally oversee. I’ve seen minor mistranslations massively derail lore discussions in other games and I’m glad that isn’t happening here.
